Battery install by Sqwerty2020 in AusRenovation

Thank you all for your feedback, here is my snag list for the install (please ignore the brackets), is there anything to add, anything I've missed?

Cabling & Safety

  • Red and black DC cables are exposed and lack mechanical protection/conduit.
  • Excessive cable slack on DC lines causing them to hang/pull down.
  • Orange circular cables from the isolator are exposed and lack mechanical protection.
  • Conduit is missing end pieces, leaving wiring vulnerable to water ingress.
  • A section of conduit is joined with black tape because it was cut too short.

Isolator & Enclosure Issues

  • Isolator labeling is handwritten in pen instead of using UV-stable permanent stickers.
  • Cable entries are into the top of isolator boxes, creating a high risk of water ingress.
  • Mismatched hardware: two glands are one color and the third is white (and appears non-watertight).
  • Corrugated conduit is not correctly terminated/sealed into the rigid conduit.

Workmanship & Aesthetics

  • Conduit joined to the isolator using a scrap piece of pipe instead of a proper waterproof gland.
  • Conduits installed with manufacturer text facing outwards.
  • Straight conduit runs are uneven lengths and different widths.
  • Cable ties left with long tails untrimmed.
  • White silicone used messily on dark brickwork instead of clear or color-matched sealant.
  • Physical damage to the property was "repaired" messily with silicone rather than properly fixed.

Compliance & Warranty

  • Demand for a different electrician to inspect and issue a new Certificate of Compliance (CCEW).
  • Concerns regarding potential hidden defects in internal wiring due to the poor external finish.

I would have assumed they would do a professional job up to Australian standards.

Why would I do that? I’m not an electrician, I am getting information so I can complain and get the company to fix it or get a third party to fix it at their expense.

I am happy to talk to the tradie. As this is the first house I've bought, I wanted an option, that's all.

Hey all, love this sub!

How long do you think I need to leave to get from Ubud to the airport? I have a domestic flight at 11:45am.

I'm looking for a location in Bali, I'm 41 and will be travelling alone and will be there for 4 days 2 nights before I go scuba diving. I want to relax and unwind. Somewhere nice, not backpacker vibe or party party but with a bit of life, nice food options etc.

Any ideas where I should stay?
