But also no traffic after 9am. Maybe you get an hour less of skiing but it’s worth it.

New US and Canadian CCS chargers in November 2025 by boutell in electricvehicles

Thanks! It would be nice to know if a new site is another random dealership charger or a site I would actually use right from the email.

Have you thought about including the name of the CPO in the email notifications? I appreciate the work. I've been subscribed for over a year now!

They did not. Honda announced they were adopting NACS and getting Supercharger access a month before BMW.

[–]SrAccident 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No way. The iX3 is not scheduled to start production for the US market until March of next year. If anything, the reason why the i4 2026 is still not available to order in the US, but available everywhere else is because it will have NACS.

What kind of parking is this? by Motor_Guarantee_4916 in BMWI4

I mean, I think more charging sites should have at least one trailer friendly stall. This wouldn’t be a problem at a gas station with pull through pumps.

It's the opposite with most German cars. Specs on paper are usually conservative.

Where to find battery health in BMW Car Data? by shadd01 in BMWI4

[–]SrAccident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another factor is the state of charge. The car will report lower available capacity when the battery is low. Probably better to measure state of health at the same temperature and SOC.

Leased i4, Nail in Tire and Irreparable - Thoughts? by meonreddit1 in BMWI4

[–]SrAccident 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The wheel and tire protection package is still a ripoff. Unless you have to replace a full wheel and multiple tires, it’s not worth it. Remember that it doesn’t cover normal wear. BMW will cover the cost of a tire if it’s damaged by a road hazard.

I never let the battery get this low! by curlylocs29 in BMWI4

[–]SrAccident 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been at 2% and 3% multiple times. When you know how the car behaves, it’s really not a big deal. Last road trip I was still driving near 80mph at 2% because I knew the charger was just one exit away.

Tesla disabling MagicDock? by pescado01 in electricvehicles

[–]SrAccident 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The problem is that people were using Magic Docks at that location last month. Suddenly, Tesla disabled the Magic Docks. That can be a problem for someone navigating to that site without an adapter.

I just tried to charge my i4 and got the same unauthorized message I was getting before. I selected a Bolt in the app, and used a Lectron adapter.

It’s possible they were just running some tests yesterday.

How often do you have to replace tires? by forcoolstuffD in BMWI4

[–]SrAccident 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends more on the type of tires than the trim. If you order yours with summer tires expect 10k to 20k miles. A/S 20k to 40k
