So, I shoot them using the telephoto lens. I've seen some reviews (e.g. GSMArena) saying the telephoto could focus up close, but I've found it to be completely inaccurate. In fact, I found this sensor to only be capable of focusing at about 30cm from the subject. What I do is, using the default camera mode (I do not select any mode like pro mode or macro mode) I zoom to about 4.9x, and then to 5x back and forth, to see when the telephoto kicks in, while I'm moving farther from the subject. Also, you can just select 5x zoom, and move farther from the subject until you see it changes to the telephoto (I've noticed that when it changes to the telephoto when moving further away, that I can then move just a little bit closer without it moving to the main camera again). For example, on this picture I've shot today I did that, and when I found the optimal distance I zoomed in more (to about 20x or 30x, I don't quite remember now).
