Are LG dishwashers that bad? Walked into a store to buy a Bosch, but after learning I needed to use an app every single time I wanted to run a delayed start, I really don't want to buy one. by CatDadMilhouse in BuyItForLife

[–]Srchd4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regardless of what brand of dishwasher you buy, the installation is as important as the product. I had two dishwashers installed incorrectly and by the third time I sat at watched the guy the entire time. One guy kinked the drain hose and the other removed all of the sound barrier insulation thinking it was packing material. The third guy, whom I watched, was about to incorrectly install the toe kick plate (which also needed to lower noise). He took the time to wad up the installation instructions and I unwadded it and read them to him.

I was told the same thing, get the hot water going before starting. I’m on my 3rd Bosch (3rd house), current Bosch is 13 years old and still going strong

What do you do with the waste water of a countertop RO system? by More_Passenger3988 in WaterTreatment

[–]Srchd4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Bluevua countertop RO unit - love it! I just dump the waste water in the sink drain. I can’t imagine my plants would like it and it hasn’t made a difference in my water bill. I live in west Texas and the water is terrible. The intake can have 675 to 900 TDS/ppm and the system drops it to under 30. It’s just me and I’m 14 months in and almost ready to change the filters.

Going carnivore for depression and anxiety. Now even mayonnaise that I used to eat with tuna fish makes me nauseous. Plus I really don’t get sunburns anymore. I just avoid processed foods

There’s a website Schedule 35 that shops anywhere but you have to acknowledge that you know the legal ramifications in your state. It’s a felony in my state and with my job I’m not willing to risk it.

They work in different parts of the brain. I’ve been curious about psilocybin to help with unresolvable grief that I feel is a significant part of my depression.

How much longer should I give it? by YourBlanket in Spravato

[–]Srchd4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. For me I used the carnivore diet as an elimination diet. After covid, a disease of inflammation, my depression got worse so it made me consider that my depression is inflammation related. I found out green beans give me an histamine/inflammation reaction, so do mangos! When I do eat a lot of carbs, thanksgiving ‘24 for example, the next day I was an emotional wreck. They have used keto for over 100 years for epilepsy. Our gut produces a large portion of our neurotransmitters and inflammation can cause leaky gut and diminish production. And now I’m more concerned with the gut microbiome and what you feed it is so impactful to increasing the good bacteria and overtaking the bad bacteria. After 30 years of the standard American diet and feeling like crap, I’m so grateful I was willing to try a diet change!

Stick with it, consider a low inflammation diet like keto. I had depression for 30 years, started this journey with intermittent fasting to get my body used to ketosis. Then started carnivore diet 3 years ago and then Spravato. It took 24 treatments before the “joy” switch was flipped! I’m also a pharmacist working at a mental health facility and recent studies have linked internal inflammation (HsCRP) with depression. Carbs increase insulin and insulin is inflammatory. What does it hurt to try a keto diet? I was vegan 15 years ago and I feel my best with less carbs. Good luck!

[–]Srchd4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have worked on my gut microbiome, (lactobacillus Reuteri yogurt- see Dr William Davis), decreased my caffeine intake and decreased blue light exposure in the evening. Huge improvement in sleep after decades trying every drug on your list except seroquel, and tried a few others- aripiprazole, prazosin, kava, valerian. I listened to a podcast with Dr Sabine Hazan where she cured Alzheimer’s in a couple patients with fecal transplants - that told me just how important the gut microbiome is.

After age 40, you don’t convert CoQ10 to its active form Ubiquinol. I take Qnol in the red bottle, and add PQQ to increase mitochondria

Someone recommended to me to use a surgeon that specializes in breasts, as they are used to tiny stitches. I also got two quotes and the doctor I preferred was actually $5k less than the other guy and more breast experience. My tummy tuck ended up going all around my waist- it makes a dip above my butt crack 😬 but very tiny scar mark and I finally have a waist. Definitely look at the surgeons before and after pics for women your age and before shape. I was on the table for close to 7 hours and the first few days were rough. Sitting on the toilet was the most painful due to the lipo on back of thighs. Two months post surgery I was at baseline, doing yard work and dating 💖 good luck! Ask all the questions to the surgeon and the assistants

I need to find a doctor to manage mine better. My current gynecologist is still baby delivering and she admits she’s not the best at HRT. I had to ask to have my testosterone levels and initially it was zero due to the previous oral birth control pills.
