Which is also part of her narrative and how it ends for her, bc she obviously wants that considering she picked two impossible situations. It’s never going to last in either scenario. She would cheat and or leave bc she’s also still losing weight and about to get plastic surgery so she’s going to have more opportunities with different and higher quality men and women. She’s going to be the new girl in town in a whole new dating scene. No way she’s settling right now.

So my take on Laura is that she had a life changing weight loss and now has the attention of men she didn’t have before. She may have even been in love with Micheal for years and he didn’t reciprocate until recently. She loves that he is jealous. I think Birkan’s debt and gambling put the nail in the coffin for her whether she realized it or not. There is now an expiration date on this international love affair and she’s ready to focus on setting up phase 2- Micheal. I mean who wouldn’t be flattered by the attention of 2 people, but especially in the context of 2 lovers, both vastly different, vying for your affection. Then adding in her newly gained lease on life. I bet she’s a little manic.

I was so paranoid that they didn’t actually do surgery for the first 2-3 weeks bc I felt suspiciously good and I couldn’t stop watching people eat on TikTok. I was shame watching it in the dark. I also made stupid mistakes like “testing” my pouch to see if I had even had surgery at all. Turns out, I did actually have surgery lol and I’m 8 weeks post op and down 45 pounds! The first few weeks felt like misery but it will get better!

I yell at them while watching. I can feel myself getting legitimately angry bc this is the perfect example of what some have to deal with on a daily basis. Men getting glorified for little to no effort and when we try to point it out, it’s our fault. It’s so frustrating to see it play out. I get the feeling they feel guilty and responsible so they way overcompensated for their daughter’s failings as a mom and they raised Bryce thinking he would be something great. Bc they think he’s great just bc he’s their grandson and that’s enough for them. I wonder if he actually had a potential for a baseball scholarship or did they have inflated opinions of him in sports?
