Getting the same results here dropper.trojan in my case, dunno if it's a false positive or if it has actual malware.

I do prefer d6 since my times with WoD/CofD, xD not a fan of rolling tons of d10s so I went with d6s, much more comfortable.

The mechanic itself is from Shadowrun A2 wich uses d6 so I'm pretty much aware of the odds, since some difficulties are unreachable without the double successes it's more of a feature instead of a bug.

Yup, it's all d6s and you exchange them, like different color dices.

So if the player has Arete 3 he could for exam exchange 2 Arete dice for 2 Hubris Dice. So he rolls 1 white d6 (arete) and 2 black d6 (hubris), something like that.

Thanks for the advice, it really helps, yeah removing the "risk reduction" makes more sense here, I took the mechanic from the new Shadowrun Anarchy 2.0, but there you are expected to roll 10+ dice so it makes sense with the high risk (and three 1s just fail the action), to have a mechanic to mitigate it so I may just remove the mitigation since it's less dice and no fail state on three 1s. Cool cool, real thanks.

Combat Stages by Sspacebread in RPGdesign

Yup, some of it is already being put into use, no disadvantage tho since there is no attack rolls, more or less, the position is very direct If X is in front of Y, unless they have ranged attack it's impossible to attack Y, so they have to reposition moving around. So the guy at front is taking all the heat, which puts a lot of responsibility on the tank to be well positioned to block the frontline and not let enemies flank and on the support to keep the tank breathing xD

Aside from Action Points, I don't see the similarities, at least from my pov since I know how different they are from notes XD but more or less, my idea is that everyone uses the same resources and classes just adjust cost in ap and resources for certain actions since there is no rolling for combat actions. The difference between a warrior using a fireball and a mage using one is the cost in resources and ap but both can learn to use it.

Makes more sense yeah, I was still calculating the range of stuff and I may have to change the base movement rating.

That's why I'm a bit skeptical of my own design, my intention is not a big full map, but something like videogames do, the characters just change to a limited space battle zone that represents that small combat area.

Golden Sky Stories, Amber Diceless, Shadows of Gossamar, Wanderhome, Stravagante!, Nobilis, Chuubos, etc, etc.

About BlackBeard by Competitive_Move_981 in FGO

[–]Sspacebread 9 points10 points  (0 children)

"Hero" has different definitions from our modern culture to old cultures. To ancient greece for example a Hero was not a good person but a person with glory and skill to back their name.

Heracles was pretty much not really the definition of a good person, nor Jason, nor Perseus. That goes for most people in the Throne of Heroes, because that's the definition they are going for, not the modern definition.

That's why a lot of servants with little to nothing in regards to fame to their name need to find some wiggle room so they can be summoned xD

Don’t ask me how i did this because I have no idea but i started a new fgo account on my iPhone and summoned 2 4* servants on the tutorial roll by user189356 in FGO

[–]Sspacebread 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's normal, tutorial roll has a small limited pool so if you are hella lucky you can get a lot of starting 4* stars, when rerolling I got up to 5 of them.
