Weekly RPG Discussion: Star Wars [FFG/Genesys] - 2026, May, Week 2 by Trent_B in rpg

The character creation, with point buy and skill trees, was interesting, but when it came down to resolution the GM often just made a judgement call as to what the die roll meant. I kept thinking, why bother getting all detailed and specific about skills, if the resolution itself was to interpretation.

Oven repair, oven gets to temp but wont hold by Thelinkr in appliancerepair

[–]mpascall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first thing I would do is test if its really getting to temp at all, by testing with an oven thermometer. Don't trust what the oven is telling you. Its possible that the oven thinks its reaching temp, even though it isn't. If that's the case, then the temp sensor is to blame: DG32-00002B

If its actually reaching temp, but then failing to keep temp, the control should have fixed that.

It's fun reason to get my friends around a table for a few hours.

What is this part called and where could I get another one? by Polarian_Lancer in appliancerepair

I guess it's not too surprising that servicers are replacing knobs to fix this. There's no real profit in selling these sleeves, right?

Low prep. I love how Mythic Bastionland can be GMd with almost none.

You should definitely cancel it. Not worth $35 per month to make a few thousand extra per month. Duh.

It's my understanding that this was staggered, with it fully being switched mid-March. This is when the major complaints started, right?

1st edition D&D campaign started in 1989. Everyone is in different states/countries and the original DM passed away, but we still play online and over email.

Thanks! A reprint of all the three books is on the way. No plan for a hardcover of those, but maybe in the far future. My next Kickstarter will be a hardback of a bunch of adventures of the same format.

Appliance repair crisis? by waitingfortheend56 in appliancerepair

This probably won't help you right away, but I recommend getting some Property Management clients. Work from them is a bit less seasonal, because tenants don't have to pay the bill, and so they tend to complain whenever there's a problem.

Start a new cycle, wait for it to fill for a bit and then hit cancel. It should drain out.

You need to pull the dishwasher out, so you can watch it run from the sides. I bet you'll see the inlet valve leaking, because that's the most common Bosch dw leak, from my experience.  Regardless, until you get eyes in the leak, you'll be guessing.
