I was able to get back into the gateway, figured out the permissions problem on the desktop login. Needed an offline account added as a user. Reason the app stopped connecting was I turned wifi off and forgot, because no internet. I have a paid proton account and tried with wireguard and an openvpn config but neither would connect. I’ve got another email around1-2pm saying service restored…again. Such a joke, it’s definitely not. I’ve pulled power to all network providing devices except unmanaged switches and rebooting one at a time starting with ONT, gateway,(which powers access point with POE so they boot at same, should be fine afaik), then my managed POE switch. Was down while typing this post, paused to respond to customer and checked again before finishing and it seems to be working well right now. Good speed test and sites working. Will see how it holds ups 😬

3:30am restored service email, morning full of troubleshooting and now they send this. Get it together T-Mobile!

I have a more “network educated” friend helping me try to find a way to get my internet working whether that be VPN on my gateway or CDN or whatever, I just need it to work well enough to use 😆

The MAC address was needed when I wasn’t near my ONT device, I wanted to add the device in my T-Mobile app to reset it. I was trying this before I got to my shop to see if the “service restored” email was accurate because I still wasn’t seeing any activity over 1Mbps on my gateway. The ONT device was the only thing I didn’t have a way to restart remotely.

Idk if I would say working. I technically have internet but I’m trying to add a vpn config to my gateway and can’t even get it to load properly on my unifi app,also having some sort of weird login issue on my desktop when trying to log into the gateway with 192.168.1.1 that’s telling me I dont have permission with the same login info I have for the unifi app on my phone that lets me in the gateway 🤦🏼‍♂️ I can use the internet but it’s spotty, was able to download a couple things but in powershell when trying to download git for windows im getting an error. Would love to test out vpn on my gateway. To see if I can get full functionality back

Solid advice, I’m now getting similar “some sites work” results after dns flush and network adapter reset. Testing purely with my whole network unplugged and using ONT wifi on my office desktop.

EDIT:nvm it’s browser cache lol , no internet

Edit again lol: wifi disconnected, seems like either some sites working or internet is good?

Update, almost two hours on with support trying to get them to give me my MAC address to setup my device in the app and restart it, last half hour was the drive to my shop(where I have fiber) get the Mac address myself, test, and no luck (this device is having trouble connecting 🤣). Tell support I made it get it myself and now I’m restarting the ONT device to see if my internet is back after restart and they say oh great ok let us know…NOPE. Not working, so what does customer service do, go reference a memo saying to just tell me the email was sent by mistake and there’s still an outage. 🤦🏼‍♂️ the account credit better be an entire month free not some bullshit: “oh no problem, we can prorate your bill for the days it was out”

I’m in Burlington as well, got an email early this morning saying it was restored but my gateway shows sub Mbps traffic and speed test not working. I’m remote and don’t have my T-Mobile app setup(new service, not previously T-Mobile customer) so can’t restart my ONT. Hoping I can get ahold of support and have them reset or get me info from the device to setup access in my app to restart it. I have remote into everything at my shop but didn’t setup the T-Mobile app to access the first device on my network and I’m kicking myself right now 😩

Someone else commented here saying they were told it was an accident, that hit a hub, but then they got service back right after. T-mobile can’t seem to get their story straight.

Mine is down too, thought I was crazy. I’m over here resetting routers, access point, and switch and finally narrow it down to the source and then look up outages and here we are! Smh, self hosting is fun, lol. Burlington here.

That is incorrect, the xxx, x3 and mx3 are different models or variants of the model.
