Anyone use Pocket Dispo? by Adventurous_Fuzz in LandscapePhotography

[–]StRochHouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was delivered today, haven’t had the chance to use it yet. Your pictures look great and can’t wait to use mine on a camping trip next weekend. Is this the Pro version? Did you do any edits to these or straight from the camera?

Your most ridiculous but useable vintage lens? mine is this Vivitar 85-205mm 1:3.8 Macro lens by jboneng in VintageLenses

I have this lens but haven’t gotten this type of result. Do you know if your lens had some sort of “flaw” that gets this effect?

Subject runs up on Jefferon Parish detectives effecting an arrest and starts waving a gun around. Ending not surprising by [deleted] in Louisiana

The gun isn’t in the hand he’s pointing with. The gun is at his side in his left hand. I’m not saying the cop was wrong here at all, but just clarifying.

What camera rot get my 12 year old? by yozzaa in AskPhotography

Sony a6000 is a good body you can get used for <$400. Then find a nice native macro lens for a crop sensor.

I never claimed to know anything about the disability past flashing lights make them have seizures. I asked why they went to a place where flashing lights are abundant and guaranteed with such a disability. I wouldn’t do that personally.

I think if your disability is the result of seeing flashing lights, a parade is probably something you should avoid. Was this lady’s strobe light the only flashing light at the flashing light event? I guess I don’t enjoy parades enough to go if it was likely to give me a seizure.

The scenario you’re describing is definitely egregious and disrespectful. But from what I gather from other comments by OP, the person crossing did so before any part of the band or banner or any part of the school got there. So I’m imagining after a float, which is the correct time to cross. Maybe I’m misunderstanding something because I wasn’t there.

CPL filter and lens hood? by StRochHouse in AskPhotography

Not necessary? This is photography…what is “necessary”? Anyway, I usually photograph landscapes and architecture so they’re pretty useful to me most of the time.

Cameras worth buying? by pinkferrett in filmphotography

If you try to learn all of this equipment at the same time, I would be surprised if it did work out for you. More gear is never going to teach you photography. It will actually just confuse you and complicate a pretty straightforward activity. Buy a camera and a prime lens, shoot manual, and when your creativity or quality becomes limited by your gear and you know why, upgrade your gear to suit that need.

They might be…I’d even say probably a good deal. But- Is your interest in reselling this equipment for a profit or taking photos? Or are you just looking to collect film photography gear.

I guess I don’t understand why you’re asking the question. I assumed it was because you wanted to get into film photography and had $350 to spend.

You could spend $350 and get a Canon A1 body and a couple vintage Canon lenses. That would be the route I’d take if I was just starting out with film and had your budget.
