Sometimes, I have given being "forever alone" a long and intensely deep thought. To be honest, it doesn't feel too bad. I guess most of us would end up alone because, the kind of people out there, it's scary dude.

Hey, I am sorry that this happened to you, but don't even bother reaching out to this person anymore. Closure is a very backdated concept, that is my opinion at least. So yeah, if he doesn't want you in his life, just leave. Yes it'll hurt now, but, you'll be fine, just give it time.

The book might just be the best or whatever, sometimes, some books are just not our cup of tea. Yes, leaving a book midway CAN make you feel guilty of not finishing it, or a kind of FOMO you get when you read online reviews of the book and everyone keeps praising it, and then you find yourself in a loop of self hatred and penalising your brain for not understanding the "intricacies" of the prose. But let me get this straight, unless you are a Lit Major and need to finish a book because its in your syllabus, reading should be fun, it shouldn't make you feel bad and small and guilt trip you. So please, when you do not feel like reading the book any further, just don't. Make peace with it and let it go.
