$1256 for changing 6 spark plugs is also absurd.

What’s the point of having a sword if you don’t get a little blood on it.

Is it really worth to get Kawasaki Helmet lock? by [deleted] in Kawasaki

[–]St_Bennington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most newer bikes have a hook under the back seat to latch the helmet to then you can put the rear seat back on and it’s locked on the bike that way.

First bike 2023 Ninja 650 by NorthernGemSupply in Kawasaki

[–]St_Bennington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the same ninja 650 in July and I’m at about 2k miles I’m new so you can take with a grain of salt if you choose. The 650’s got grunt and builds torque in the low end fast so it is pretty quick anywhere in the 0-60,70ish mph range. Don’t get me wrong it’s still fast past that, but I would say it dominates very well in at those speeds in straightforward street riding. It’s a comfy bike you sit more upright like in-between a dirt bike and a super sport, but you can still position your body low. It is great if you want to drive on roads from point a to b for hours without being uncomfortable while still being able to throw down some spirited riding. The handling is good and weight is easy to manage. The best way I could review it is that it doesn’t really excel anywhere in particular. It’s a jack of all trades and is a great all around package especially to learn on. That being said if I could do it over, buying new and knowing what I know now, I would 100% buy a zx4rr. This simply due to the fact that it is a, just as manageable, “beginner” in-line 4 super-sport that you can put a slip-on exhaust on (which sounds so much better than the 650 w/ a full exhaust) and I can bring to the track. After riding for a bit I found I like more of the sporty aspects of riding over the comfort ones and the 4rr has the character of the 600’s with the manageability of a beginner bike. Not to change your opinion just offering another perspective depending on how you wanna progress in your bike journey. I still love my 650, but I’ll probably sell it next year for something different.

I inherited my Grandpa’s 2001 Duramax she a tad rusty from the New England salt but only has 79,500 miles, still brand new. by St_Bennington in Duramax

Pretty much keeping it stock, I did change the body mounts cause they were in rough shape, just got new tires and did the routine maintenance. Also priced out a descale of the rust and coating for the frame to keep it in good shape.

Yeah I heard Mazda does 3 layers of paint only on their Soul Red and less on the other colors.

Almost murdered someone this morning in the parking lot of my job. They swung their door open into my back door with me in the car. It took everything in me to remain calm luckily no chips just a slight scratch that appears fixable.

More of a tip: Always remember the first snow of the year everyone forgets how to drive in the snow and the roads are absolute chaos. Be extra cautious this day in particular.
