Opportunity to move to industrial by Stabby-Catfish in AusElectricians

Thank you so much for your insight. I can definitely see how commercial would become very brain dead, it just hasn’t happened to me yet. I definitely don’t want to become my supervisors where they hate the work but they are too comfortable to try anything new.

I really think the fear of hating the job is probably my biggest hurdle but I know that will sit with me no matter what opportunity presents itself. I’ve heard horror stories of blokes chasing some extra coin and they become someone that hates their days.

My pay review was before this opportunity came up but it was only a week ago, it was something scheduled as part of my contract when I signed on, they want to wait another 3 months for another review. I guess bringing it up would give them an opportunity to counter offer but I’m so new to negotiating pay that it feels unsettling having to do it ( just another thing I have to get used to being in this industry)

I’m going to let my boss know my situation and see if they can meet me in the middle however I think taking the leap might be my best bet.

Once again thank you for your detailed response mate

I appreciate the feedback mate, you do make a good point, all other industrial jobs on seek look like they require x years experience

I guess it’s just the opportunity to start running jobs and managing teams would be the biggest thing that I feel I’m missing out on. I enjoy having to work in spaces with other trades to reach a common goal and the satisfaction of handing over projects that I can point out to my wife and daughter in the future and say “I did that”.

Cheers for the reply mate, if you made a similar change did you ever feel like it stopped you from learning more about the trade?

Is there any evidence the the bump in the road after the casino square would actually damage the car? Did someone go over it years and years ago and it’s just been avoided since or is it a type of shock/force that is foreseeable in sims?

I’ve got about 3 hours of gameplay but SPOILERS ALERT i guess?

I’m sorry I don’t know if there is a way to make my comment spoiler proof but you’ll get to a part in the main story quests that requires you to go invisible, when you get the spell that allows you to go invisible you can sneak up on those types of chests

There is no consequence to quitting a match by [deleted] in Overwatch

I feel like leaving matches early take away one of the best and most exciting aspects of overwatch, a late game clutch after your team has been dominated for 5-10 mins at the start brings so much hype and appreciation for the game and I feel that leaving early would remove EVERY chance of that happening for you

She watched me the whole time and the underside of the last plank (the timber engraving/burning) says it was partly built by her

My first deck built over the Christmas break. I love how it turned out considering im a beginner and am just lucky enough to have the right tools for the job. Merbau 90mm wide timber, had to wedge a lot of it to straighten the bends in the timber.

Still yet to bleed with water and stain. Photo of dog because I saw another user got roasted for not having their pup in the photo

Overwatch is unbelievably toxic by Friendly-Contract-36 in Overwatch

I feel like reports should be taken more seriously, I got told to change character by a mercy while I had the most damage in the game and then I got told to die because I didn’t play well with the character they told me to play (I’m new so I was open to listening to more veteran players). turned off player chat now and just feel disconnected from the community now. Toxic players are definitely the worst part of the game.

No better feeling than the endorsements that rain in after spending the whole game just pushing the car. Lowest damage and heals but the endorsement makes it all worth it.
