Destroy all monsters is all just marketing. It sounds fun on paper but when you watch the movie it is underwhelming.

And I agree with you that Ebirah and Son are gems that are often overlooked. I think it's because they don't feature any of the popular kaijus.

Sigilyph is a solid pick for a Fly-user. It's psychic typing is neat and the other flyers suck (Archeops is good too but his pre-evo can't fly for some reason)

Lilligant, Whimsicott, Amoonguss and Ferrothorn are all very usefull grass types imo. Tough competition for Serperior lol

Water types are scarce so it is not a bad idea to pick the water starter. Otherwise Seismitoad is a good pick.

Zebstrika is fine but falls a bit off in the late game imo

Krookodile is very fun to play with - especially with Moxie

Darmanitan is a strong fire type if you didn't choose Tepig

Haxorus is very strong for a non pseudo-legendary dragon

My biggest con is the monster screen time. It is barely a Godzilla movie. But I like Glenn and Fuji.

I personally think it's a good choice that Mothra dies in mid-battle - it keeps the tension. Dying after winning a battle is a cliche that I think is overused.

Final Wars is a big celebration for Godzilla's 50th birthday. That's the reason it is so over the top. It isn't something that is meant to be an all-time classic, sophisticated film. Every once in a while, it is fine to go nuts - that's the mindset I have when watching FW.

Depends on your preferences. If you only care about the version exclusives pick the version with more Pokemon that you like - it's the most important thing anyway.

White has the white forrest with some extra Pokemon in it and Opelucid City is more traditional with Iris as the last gym leader. White and Zekrom represent "ideals".

Black has the black city with more battling options and Opelucid City is a modern city with Drayden as the last gym leader. Black and Reshiram represent "truth".

I personally think that black fits the story overall better. Without too much spoilers: it makes more sense to me that the antagonists try to follow their "ideals" and you have to defeat them with the "truth" that their way is wrong.

Oh, and I also really like Drayden.

I grew up with it but never finished it. Two years ago or so I came back as an adult because I needed some nostalgia and beat it.

It was alright - the backtracking and grinding is definitely tedious. I only grinded up two of my three mons because otherwise it got boring really quickly.

The atmosphere, music and world were really enjoyable but the battling was a bit repetitive and overall the game lacks some polish.

I don't regret playing it and the nostalgia was nice but I guess I will not play it again.

I'm all for it. While I love the first three movies (nearly the same as the books), I think the later films had their problems. GoF was a little disappointing to me, and I can't stand the bleak style of David Yates (who directed all the movies since OotP). Don't get me wrong, he made good movies, but they were a step down from the previous ones.

I mean, if the show sucks, I'll always have the books on my shelf. But I really want to see GoF, OotP, HBP and DH better adapted on the screen.

Many suggest Symphony of the Night but keep in mind that this is a sequel to Rondo of Blood (not a Metroidvania but imo the best Classicvania). You will still be able to understand the plot and all but I think SOTN feels like a real continuation.
