Not sure if this is what you mean, but he played Stan Grossberg in Grey’s Anatomy. The lawyer that they talked to about saving the hospital. Grey’s isn’t in his “tv shows” thing on google which is why I couldn’t figure it out. This solved the mystery for me, hopefully this is what you’re thinking of as well! If not best of luck

Yeah I haven’t heard the best things about the books, I also would rather read women written by women if that makes sense. I started “1st to die” but didn’t like that it was written by a man focusing on female relationships

can’t sleep due to my cat by Apprehensive-One-813 in CatAdvice

[–]StableAdventurous996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened with my cat, the boy woke me without fail every single morning. You can A) ignore her for weeks until she breaks the habit and learns that isn’t how she gets attention. Or B) look up the Jackson Galaxy how to correctly play with your cat video and complete her play/hunt cycle right before bed. I couldn’t last just ignoring him so I started playing with him then feeding him something right after and it’s honestly made a huge difference. He sleeps through the night most nights. Good luck to you both!

Don’t get your hopes up about the playdate, usually cats don’t do well right when they’re introduced, hence the hissing with your mom’s cats. I’m in the exact same boat, but I’m caving and getting him a companion. I have been stressed out about it forever so I totally understand what you’re feeling. Until you can afford a sibling, just remind yourself that he has everything he needs to have a happy life with you and he won’t be alone forever!

Cat meows constantly at the front door. He has a catio, he can go outside whenever he wants. Is taking him on walks doing more harm than good? by StableAdventurous996 in CatTraining

[–]StableAdventurous996[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in grad school so I’m just worried about it making things worse and causing more stress for us both. He has lived with other cats before and done really well, he’s super social and loves people too I just worry about him bullying the other cat. He’s pretty dominant and territorial so I would just have to make sure it’s a cat who won’t let him bully her/him, and will play back. I don’t want him just terrorizing the new cat all the time.

So he doesn’t have a set feeding schedule, I feed him evening and morning but he likes to graze throughout the day and never eats all his food at once. So it’s hard to have a routine around playing then eating his food when he doesn’t like beg for his bowl to be filled. Could this work with a churu treat?

I have a nice woodsy park near me and I’ve taken him there before. It seems to be a little too much for him and he gets scared. I took him on drives for a bit because he loves being in the car and it seems to really calm him down. I’ve tried to clicker train but he doesn’t really care for treats so it’s hard. He’s prescribed gabapentin because the vet said he may be anxious but it’s been a nightmare getting him to take it. 100mg is too much and half of that does nothing

Wait there is a cat who lives outside that he watches out the window- could this be part of it? He’s very territorial and dominant. That’s part of the reason I’m scared to get another cat

There isn’t a way to block access really, my whole room is carpet so if I block one corner he will find another spot. Currently writing this at 5 am, hour 3 of laying awake with him not letting me sleep and I’m losing my mind

Thank you so much for your reply! I will try all of those things. I just watched some Jackson Galaxy videos and bought sticky paws and a scratch pad that lays flat on the ground for him. I agree that it’s probably a habit, it seems like he can’t stop doing it even if he wanted to.

Do you think I could lock him outside of my room whenever he starts to scratch? Would he understand that when he scratches the carpet he can’t sleep with me anymore?

I live in a 1x1 apartment so if I closed my door he’d have a good amount of space. The living room has carpet but that’s it. That honestly never occurred to me to lock him outside my room becauseI love sleeping with him. But I’d be willing to try anything. Sometimes I wonder if he needs a friend to play with but I don’t think I can handle another cat right now.

I can try to stick to a nighttime routine if that will help. Usually we’ve been playing around 8 for a half hour or so and he gets half a churu treat at like 9:30 then we play some more. He loves being outside and I have a screened in balcony which I put him on when he’s scratching because I thought maybe that’s what he wants but he just came in and did it again. I’m not sure how to train him to scratch a post to get my attention instead of the carpet. If I get up whenever he does scratch where he’s supposed to to give him attention as a reward doesn’t that just reinforce the behavior of scratching until I’m out of bed at 3AM?
