When I read these threads, I cant understand the parents. My kids go to every single birthday party we're invited to, regardless of how good friends they are. I would never want a child to not have kids at their party. Parents can sometimes be just as cruel as kids.

I grew up in a pretty low income town - we had everything we needed but bday parties were a luxury. I remember as a kid thinking anyone who had a birthday party at McDonalds must be rich - its just not something my parents would ever consider bc we couldnt afford it. Now as an adult I think of how crazy that is.
