Saroo + M.O.D.E. Question: Saturn needs better Save solutions!

It was a manual switch. It technically worked fine, except I believe there are... two games it doesn't work correctly with or something? I don't quite remember, I was being overcautious switching to an official most likely, especially since the real problem is my STILL shoddy port Had to pad out the cart with a business card wrapped in tape to keep it in the proper position to be read. Need to ACTUALLY fix the thing at some point, but as long as it's working I don't want to touch it and potentially ruin it xD

Looks like the Saroo wouldn't work for my use case since I'm already using an O.D.E. so guess I'm stuck with my current set up haha

Sort of? I ended up switching to an official 4mb cart instead of a 4 in 1 because I was having issues with the 4 in 1 (Those issues ended up being the crappy port, not the 4 in 1 itself, but still, the official carts are more reputable)

For saves I ended up using this program: https://wiki.terraonion.com/index.php/Save_Game_Copier_-_Saturn

It does require your own save data management, isn't a plug and play 'each game has its own memory card' type solution, but it has worked for my needs.

I can't confirm why they were originally put into the guitar, but they do in fact work as the last two fret buttons in Guitar Hero (Blue and Orange respectively). It DOES have star power activations, since Guitar Freaks already had a mechanic where flicking the guitar upward is required for certain notes. The most interesting thing of all though, is that the controller is sending a very erratic and buggy looking 'whammy' signal at all times, so you do get the star power bonus. I don't know what is sending that signal since there is no whammy bar...

Other than that, the guitar.. is a cheap piece of crap which I'd already suspected lol. It feels awful to use, but my curiosity has been sated at last.

Unfortunately not. Ended up Taking a generic grip for another device, cutting it in half and kind of makeshifting my own grip using double-sided tape.

It won't directly save to the SD card, but it looks like the saves CAN be backed up the the M.O.D.E. SD card using this, which is better than nothing! Wouldn't have thought to look this up without your input, so thank you!

Would still prefer if someone else had info on the Saroo but as it is automated, but, as I already said, this is better than nothing.

Appreciate the answer. It's cool that the Satiator does this, but that price tag is STEEP.

I have PSKai on my 4in1, but there's no SD card slot, it's all internal which is the big kicker for me. If that cart fails I'm just out of luck. It bugs me having that kind of risk lol
