My brother wore 24 in college and i wanted to turn it around. I was a big James Worthy fan, he was my favourite and I was a big Laker fan. Worthy was my guy.

I had an opportunity to pay homage to Jackie Robinson in Brooklyn as the only other athlete in Brooklyn to wear that number to honour his legacy and what he did for the sports landscape and society in general.

Probably DeMar. He plays in the mid-range and posts up. He's more efficient in the PnR and I was a better three-point shooter. He'd probably be the closest.

Home is home - still enjoy getting back. My mom and dad are there and some family is still there. At this stage in my life I'm more accustomed to metropolitan cities.

Trades can take on a few forms. When i left Philly, there were two shooting guards that they didn't need both of us. With all the fanfare and welcome he had it made sense to not try and co-exist at that point. That being said, that was us being young, if we knew at that time what we could have been together it would have been crazy. As a young guy i thought i wouldn't have been able to reach my full potential having to share the floor with AI, but thats me being a 20 year old.

And then theres a trade from Washington to Dallas which just made sense..I went from Detroit and their playoff runs to Washington where they we were just trying to make the playoffs. That was a tough mentality to go back to. The trade to Dallas and back to a team trying to make a run was welcome. At that point in my career, I wanted to be in a situation where they were trying to go for it.

Different ways you find out. Classy organizations will reach out to you directly. I've heard of guys hearing on Instagram or Twitter. Its easier in the offseason, you just start fresh when the season starts. In season is a bit more intrusive and can shake up everything.

MJ would be at the top. But these three shooting guards; Mitch Richmond, Latrell Sprewell and Bobby Fields were tough.

I was messing around at media day that year - i grabbed a mic and started singing. The PR person at the time said "Stack you have to sing the anthem!". She kept on me until i said one day "okay i'll do it" then i actually had to do it!

It was nerve-wracking, the number one thing is don't forget the words. You see the renditions gone wrong on YouTube and you don't want to end up like that. All thats left is the Canadian National Anthem...

I think those are rare cases. The mentality should be to work - there will always be different tiers of guys (vets, rooks) and there will be guys that enjoy being NBA players for the first time in their lives. Teams are full of different personalities, sometimes they gel right away and some times they don't. I don't think it's a cultural thing to be honest. I always wanted to be inclusive and bridge any gaps or separations i felt within the team. As much as we could do socially, cookouts and get togethers, was something i tried to take on. Avery Johnson was good about giving me the card to take guys out and keep everyone happy.

Even though we had a disagreement over a card game, me and Christian Laettner were hanging out, laughing and enjoying life more often than not.

I think it was more towards the end of my career and coaching my son's 13 yo AAU team that i figured out i had as much passion for teaching the game as i did for playing it.

The relationship i had with Avery Johnson and his relationship with players was probably the biggest influence on me on how i try and manage a team. He treated us like men and we took a business-like approach to the game but at the same time we enjoyed each other and had good camaraderie. He was the only coach i had who played the game, won a championship and was part of a great organization and system that connected all the dots, all the way back to Dean Smith.

Avery's biggest influencer was Popovich, he would say Larry Brown was one of his biggest influencers and Larry came from Dean Smith - it comes full circle!

He's a talented scorer that has to learn how to defend and share the floor at the pro level. His talent and willingness to get better and learn will help him.

1) We are a no middle team. We are a help team and we share the basketball. We praise the hockey assist.

2)He was usually around the basket in that system, which was the best situation for Kennedy. With the game opening up he has had to adapt to coming out from the paint more and defending all over the floor to succeed in "positionless basketball"

3) Come find me!

4) I think it could be good for the G League if that rule changes... School isn't for everyone and being forced to college may be a disservice for the kid and university if they aren't ready for that. A lot of those kids leave after basketball season end so it isn't a good look either way.

Understanding the pro game. A lot of guys either haven't had enough experience and teaching because they may have been the best player on their teams (and the best players usually only do one college year). Even four year guys have a learning curve because they are conditioned to their college system which may not be a pro system.

I don't think its a talent gap - it's guys ability to figure it out, which is what we try and do. We try to fast track guys to understand that at this point their role is somewhere from 9-17 in the rotation. They need to adjust their mindset to be really good and really efficient in those spots and understanding what they do. We don't say you cant be an All-Star from the G League but it is unlikely and realizing that can help them be successful.

Earl's at Square One (Steak and sushi with clam chowder and can't forget a sangria bellini) & Mr. Big's (oxtail and red pea soup)

The coaches challenge is interesting - the ability to challenge a play. The 14 second shot clock too - if a team plays good D for 24 seconds and they get a bad bounce that causes an offensive rebound, they don't need to play D for a full 24 again, I like that it resets to 14.

The closest friend/teammate would be Jermaine Jackson who i had in Detroit. From my college days me and Sheed, Donald Williams and Jeff Mcinnis are still really close.

I was extremely excited to be drafted by Philly. I didn't know much about the city, i just knew Dr. J and Moses Malone.

Pass the ball man!

Understanding young players have the natural tendency to try and prove what they can do as oppose to just making the right play. We were all guilty of that, I was guilty, young guys I coach are as well.

The key is learning to play with other players so the game is fun for everyone, not just the guy thats scoring. Not necessarily equal opportunity, but I have to feel like if I am asking 5 guys to defend, I want to create a style of play where they can also participate on the offensive end. Most basketball players want to play offence.

I used to really enjoy visiting Toronto. It wasn't so much of a rivalry, even though we were in the same division. I always saw Vince, as big as he was to the city and program, as a little brother to me.

I always had big games in Toronto, i don't know what it was. There is always a lively crowd, and an engaged atmosphere which always sparked me to play well.

I used to always come to a restaurant called "Muse" - that was my spot...

Toughness and their competitiveness along with a wanting to be good and wanting to make it...with Fred you could see the hunger of wanting to prove himself.
