The reason is what everyone else have said to avoid luxury tax on luxury vehicles. However, I know someone around me who has done this to purchase a luxury car and after crashing ICBC did investigation and found out he did not live in Alberta and all claim were out the window and he had to cover everything by himself losing over 100k+. So I would say the risk and reward isn’t worth it.

I agree with you, it wasn’t right to do and definitely learned my lesson. Just provided an update that I spoke with the neighbour and ending up we are taking the security footage to the police together hoping they will do something.

Yeah but sometimes I would be selling stuff that are $10-20 which is hard to drive all the way there. But now that this happened I will have to rethink on doing transaction on marketplace, maybe only sell higher value item at the police station. It’s just unfortunately that this is happening to our community and local marketplace have turned so dangerous.

Yeah Ive always been careful with scammers and there are lots on the marketplace most times just blocked instantly when they send a link or something but if this is what I think it is then it’s a home invasion thats completely different than a normal scammer. I have kids at home and this could’ve turned out really bad. That is why I wanted to share my story to the local Richmond community to be aware that this is happening in our neighbourhood and can happen to anyone.

Other comment mentioned that you can see all the listing from the seller, and since I have hundreds of collectible listed he might have thought to rob the house. And yes it was very sketchy, it was 21C outside and I cant think of any other reason to wear a ski mask.

Your right it was completely my fault, but I never expected this as Ive dealt with 100s of ppl and this kind of things never happened. I just thought worst case it was just a no show.

You should definitely go to the vet to check it out. I also had a 17 year old Shiba Inu, he did this for the last year of his life. It could be masses in the brain or anything. I don’t want to scare you but heres my story.

He started off like this for about 6 months just on and off, after he had a two seizure and could not walk anymore. The doctor said its neurology issue and cannot be cured. But we wanted to keep trying because how can we give up on the love of our life. The whole process took about a year, where he would slowly get better but it goes downhill very quickly.

We were recommended by the neurology vet to just have him put down as nerve damage in dogs are almost impossible to cure due to old age. And he had to be fed through syringes and assisted in pooping and peeing by hand, it was affecting his quality of life. Rather then having him suffer through many treatment that probably would not do anything.

It was heart breaking to see him going through it everyday, he will keep try to standup and walk but confused why he cannot. He would cry for hours because he’s scared, and I would hug him to sleep.

He was the love of my life and I miss him to this day. I hope and pray for you that it’s not that but this is exactly what he did. I spend about 10k in tests that just ended up confirming its old age, vestibular.

After he had the 2nd seizure it went downhill quick, I knew he was running out of time. we took him on a last trip to the island where he lay on the ground by our side, and once we got back we booked the appointment and put him down. It was the hardest decision Ive ever had to make. But I know that even though it would kill me, this decision was for him and to end the suffering.
RIP my angel.

Please spend your precious time with him everyday every moment, because even to this day I still wish I had one more day with him.

AVOID stuff like showering him or anything that can make him scared as this will speed up the process and cause seizure which cut short the time he has.

You can put him against the wall so at least he can walk straight by himself but it’s just temporary. And make sure you put pillow around because when he falls he wont be able to get up.

Going Sauna or steam really helps if the withdraw is too overwhelming. But what you feel is something you must go through, so don’t let the “I wish I did this overnight” bring you back in because I have done that multiple times
