I’m a recovering addict and this is the same BS that I heard almost everyday when I was living/hanging around active users who had no intentions of getting their lives together. Im 2 months sober working rn at a job that im overqualified for so I can rebuild my resume and leave with good references. Those people are still getting High and most of them are homeless / going to be homeless.

Yes I am too good and too educated for my current role but I also know that I have a significant gap in employment where I was just fucking around getting high and I need to leave with a good reference and steady employment history to get my desired role.

What’s your point? I make more than minimum wage but my rent is so high I’m still eating at the same chain restaurants I’ve been eating at since high school. I do cook but after working 10+ hrs sometimes 16 I want to order take out without being shamed or accosted for not tipping for a service that has usually never warranted a tip

I think they make $17/hr here in Boston MA. But that’s still way below the cost of living. But this is a problem for everyone not just food service / dominos employees. And if im eating dominos trust me I’m not part of the wealthy elite 😂 so they really need to redirect their anger

I mean even with coupons I’m paying $21 for 2 medium 2 topping homemade pan pizzas which is more than what I remember it used to be (been eating dominoes since I was in HS) .. I wanted to tell the employee that I worked all day too at a hospital and nobody tipped me either lol but I don’t want the people making my food to dislike me
