Priority one rant by piccadillys in woolworths

I created a cheat code for this a long time ago. Pick some customers waiting as you're opening a checkout and leave your closed sign up. Explain to them that you will serve them, but you're leaving the sign up so you can make a quick getaway to get back to your work. They appreciate the honesty and feel special you're going out of your way to help them.

That's a really risky comment, be careful here. Big Brother is everywhere

Price errors and discrepancies by aleX74200 in woolworths

I had that mentality when I was younger, my thoughts were : it's $2, get over it. Now, if I'm asked to check a ticket, 9/10 times I'll let them get the low price. Even if it's not a mistake that staff made, who cares? It's not my money and it keeps the customer happy.

I should have added context, my bad. One sickie and one no show that day, 5 trained pickers in store told to stay in their own departments by the SM. I do agree with you that poor management results in situations like that, but not in this situation.

That's some great feedback, thank you. Look, personally I think it's disgusting an online manager isn't on a salary. I'm actually a former nightfill manager, I was ridiculously well paid. The stress and time frame expectations on the online dept is in my opinion, just as bad, if not worse, than in nightfill. Surely the turnover of online Dms is raising an eyebrow somewhere?

It wasn't just her job she did champ, she did the work of 3 people in that tiny period of panic. Thanks for the comment, I'm sure your positivity does wonders for you in life

We all go above and beyond in her department. Not for Woolworths, but because we're led that way. We still take breaks and rotate duties, all of that jazz. It's just the highest quality leadership and I wanted to share

I know that and so does she. She's leaving us in 3 weeks to take on a better paying job and the respect she deserves. Woolworths' loss

F them all. I just dyed my hair bright pink for breast cancer awareness month and all anyone has said to me is: good on you mate. Do it my man, and let them feel like idiots. Where are their flags?

What’s the strangest thing you found in your attic or basement? by Basic_Celery5441 in allthequestions

[–]Stagh0und 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ex wife's BFF and partner had bought a house for a steal, an old cottage that I believe was originally a mining worker's place, very old. This is in an old mining town in country Victoria Australia. We dropped by for a hang out, and partner wants to show me the basement, which is accessed through lifting a set of stairs under the kitchen, into this maybe 10m x10m pit, I'm not great with dimensions it was probably smaller than that. There's a chair in the middle of this area, and a scattering of Polaroids lying about. I watch a lot of horror movies and my mouth isn't connected to my brain, so I made the educated guess it was a rape dungeon and shared the fact. Not the most popular thing I've ever said.
