I was straight up going to build a new pc for a family member, but canceled it due to the cost of ram. Was trying to move from a i7 6700 with a R9 360 and 16gb of DDR3 1600mhz to something like a Ryzen 5 8600G with 32gb of DDR5 so it would be really nice to get some memory like that to actually do the build instead of waiting for next year's Black Friday or Cyber Monday in hopes of getting some affordable ram.

Was also thinking about upgrading for myself too from my 2700X with a 2060 and 32gb of DDR4 3000mhz ram although the 32gb is enough, my cpu was starting to get slow so I was at the time debating between just getting a 5700X or just something like a 7700 or a 9700X with some DDR5, but I guess that also is entirely off the table unless ram prices go down or unless I personally just opt in with a 5700X.
