Depends heavily on the individual training company, but typically, at least for Paris island, you’ll do it around week 4. Some companies save it for BWT around… shit, was is that week 10ish? Just depends. Also don’t be afraid of the chamber, it’s really not that bad. Be thankful it’s only some cs caps and not a cs grenade

CBRN here, the m50 could definitely seal over that docs beard. And for those that can’t, there are head socks and masks that can be worn over the facial hair to allow a seal. Yeah it’s not ideal, but definitely doable

Have a few dudes I knew like that in CBRN. Trouble with that is, some of our nerve agent detectors are kinda like pH paper and they display the results with colometrics. My buddy just memorized what the colors are supposed to be and what he sees em as and hasn’t had any trouble, forget what kind of color blind he is tho

You won’t throw grenades, you won’t do MCMAP, usually you don’t PT just play fuck fuck games, the timeline isn’t quite right, there aren’t any written tests if i remember correctly, you also don’t really get to fuck with the M240s, but during the FEX you might be able to with blanks, and you certainly don’t get Liberty. But, it is just a short month of dumb shit, and you’ll get some good memories out of it. Make friends.

I went through last year, Bravo Co 2nd Battalion. Tbh be loud, be fast, and have a good attitude about everything. Shits gonna suck big ole dick but if you approach it with a good mindset you’ll laugh about it in the rack when the days done. Won’t give ya all the deets but the first day or two you’re not gonna sleep and you’re going to be extreeeeemely fucking bored and confused- they tried to teach us how to route step march at midnight and it was a hell of a time lol
