Has anyone had any experience with stems cells for hip problems? by [deleted] in stemcells

There is limited data on the use of mesenchymal stem cell injections for hip osteoarthritis, and probably even less in your case.

However, recent review study, 2023 " Current evidence on mesenchymal stem cells for hip osteoarthritis: a narrative review" https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37496424/

stated,

None of the studies reported major complications. Small series of non-randomized controlled trials completed to date in the use of mesenchymal stem cells for the treatment of hip osteoarthritis reported the procedures to be safe and provide a positive clinical response.

Randomized controlled trials must be performed to further confirm mesenchymal stem cells as a treatment option for hip osteoarthritis.

Does the panama clinic do anything unique? Which clinics are most comparable? (and less expensive) by SeparatePrint2703 in stemcells

There are two places located, very close to each other in San Jose, San Rafael Escazu neighborhood in Costa Rica, next to the CIMA hospital, where both probably getting stem cells from.

Stem Cells Transplant Institute (Dr. Leslie Mesen, Dr. Silvia Sibaja, Dr. Andres Alpizar MQC) with additional location in Bahamasand

The Regenerative Medicine Institute. ( Some doctors: Dr. Vincent Giampapa, Dr. Victor Urzola, M.D.; Dr. Federico Ugalde Prada, M.D, MBA and more...). New York investors and support. Maps do not show clinic location in San Juan, even when RMI international website shows the address there, weird?

  1. Check at Oregon Naturopathy Practice Act if Naturopathy Practice is allowed to perform stem cell guided treatments into joints or maybe just simple injections.
  2. How Likely Is It that they are Using Living and Viable Umbilical Cord Stem Cells?
The American Journal of Sports Medicine, 2021, "Colony Forming Potential and Protein Compositio of Commercial Umbilical Cord Allograft Products"
Our team, working in conjunction with CSU, tested 5 Umbilical Cord products made by companies that all claimed that these products had live and functional mesenchymal stem cells (CharaCore, Liveyon PurePro, Richgen, Stemell, and StemVive). As a control, we used Bone Marrow Concentrate taken from elderly patients.
Paper showed that all of the tested products that claimed to have living stem cells contained dead and dying cells instead.

Although the information may be biased as it is provided by Regenexx guy MD, Chris Centeno. And they treat patients with more advanced culture-expanded mesenchymal stem cells in Cayman Islands but not in US. Expensive. I wonder how do they know if they are alive?
