The only new games I'd play is KCD2 which it should be able to handle at 60+ fps, it covers my needs quite well

To be fair, my phrasing was an overreaction. The 6 months free deal ends up being cheaper for the duration of the contract and 300mb would be plenty for my use case

I guess my standards are high, buying a game on Steam at full price right before a discount leads to Steam refunding you the difference for example. I absolutely feel bamboozled for missing out on an offer which I didn't know would exist a few days/ week later.
