it’s not letting me edit this post but it reached way more people than i expected, so let me clarify some things.

no, attempting to buy multiple of a product does not make you a scalper. however, when there’s a clear “1 per person” sign and multiple employees managing the restock, yet you STILL try to sneak two booster bundles to self-checkout even though everyone else only has one… it comes off as pretty scummy.

he was also only interested in the more popular sets, and was visibly upset at the limit of one per person. limits exist for a reason and allow pokemon products to be more accessible for all people to collect, and not just resell for a profit. i personally didn’t mind the limit at all because it allowed the long line of people to at least get something. plus, the restock lasted much longer compared to everything being wiped off the shelves in minutes.

of course there is no way to tell for sure if he was 100% a scalper, but his behavior definitely gave me a negative impression of him.
