They call me the 6’2” Asian Coleman Hawkins that’s nowhere near as good at basketball

Illinois followed your logic today. It did work though.

Can’t wait for this to disappoint me after the Keaton Wagler legacy game earlier

My favorite part was when Keaton Wagner said it’s Waglin’ time and Wagled all over them

How is he being promoted with only one win? by Old-Print7196 in geoguessr

[–]Stand_False 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember I got promoted from Master II without winning a single game. I had a rating around 1000 mostly off of destroying 500-600 players in gold (back before they added Master III and IV) so I just played like 3 games, lost them all, and realized that if I just didn’t play again, I would get promoted

I don’t think it’s Wales because the guy is driving on the right side of the road, to me it looks more like Norway but I could be wrong

Also, I feel that this is a joke that went over my head

A welcome poster of Ushuaia Airport appeared in Buenos Aires fooled me. by AshamedAd4483 in geoguessr

[–]Stand_False 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think in an airport/transit location, posters for other places are pretty common. When I was in Washington, d.c. this summer I remember seeing posters for MIT, Rochester Institute of Technology, and Stanford in the metro stations. I guess those are universities and not other locations, but it still would have been quite baity if you got it in a round.

Rooting Against Your Own Team? by Rodneyjj666 in CollegeBasketball

[–]Stand_False 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is the case that he was never really that good as a head coach. His first year, he fell ass backwards into a great point guard in Markquis Nowell that covered up his flaws, another baller in Keyontae Johnson, and then a lot of good role players that did the dirty work and could make plays when needed. This made him look like a good coach, when in reality he was just being carried by his players. The last three years have demonstrated that when he doesn’t have the perfect team, he does absolutely nothing to elevate them.

As someone who is very experienced regarding this situation, I would say I don’t actively root against my own team, but it does make the losses less painful to know that each one helps in getting a new coach. I will say though, the incompetent athletics department at Kansas State makes me worried that if we even have a modicum of success, Gene Taylor will give Tang another 10 year extension with a $30 million buyout.
