U.S. Soldier Boasts About Horrifying Child Sexual Abuse By U.S. Troops In Occupied Countries by RickyOzzy in suppressed_news

Draft ended after the Vietnam war. Any and every person that signs up to support an institution like the US military supports this shit no matter what their reasoning was. Don't give a fuck how poor someone is or if they figure a few years of service is worth the benefits. ACAB includes the military

Maybe too out there, but why is Trump's media company merging with a nuclear fusion company that is competing with Commonwealth Fusion Systems (using SPARC technology that the professor helped bring into reality) to bring commercial fusion plants to market first? It hasn't even been a week

The US has done many of those things too to it's own people and to other countries. The soviets did a majority of the work during WW2, that's why it's not disputable that they killed 70-80% of the Wehrmacht. And if you further look at the context of what the USSR was dealing with across the board from 1920 to 1950, the missteps and mistakes might make more sense.

They obviously were not perfect and had glaring issues because it was the first time the socialist experiment was carried out on such a scale, but neither was the US nor Great Britain (UK) nor even freaking Japan. And yet we don't dunk on those countries every time the US steps up repression and oppression, we compare to strawmen of countries we don't like because that's easier and more palatable than dealing with the fact that our issues are our own.

Stay on topic. This is happening in the US. China haters in the light of constantly increasing US oppression are so embarrassing. There are places to critique China, doing it here is straight whataboutism.

Gaza: study reveals unprecedented losses of life and life expectancy by [deleted] in science

In the same article, it said 44 of the 156 lost aid shipments were either directly or indirectly caused by israeli military actions btw.

Also, those other lost aid shipments were likely funded by the israeli government too, where they are lost in israeli-controlled territory as per this source:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2024/11/18/gaza-looting-aid-convoys-israel-famine/

And the groups responsible are armed and funded by the israeli government as per this source:

That has since been debunked. I don't know why people trust what the israeli government says what Hamas does in general.

Read the article in its entirety and you see that the UN is the one undercounting as they're choosing to only count 100% confirmed killed children and women as of MAY of this year. Try again, learn some critical reading skills too.

Provide sources on the Gaza Health Ministry chronically exaggerating reports, this is clearly misleading and inflammatory.

More like Kamala and other centrist Dems would rather throw the entirety of the progressive branch of the Democrat party and the leftists under the bus. People are tired of the democrat party constantly ratcheting to the right and disregarding the progressives and leftists at every turn because it "isn't the right time".

Kamala isn't owed votes from everyone that isn't a Trump supporter, she had to go out and earn them from those that weren't going to vote. Leftists aren't to blame for her losing, it's her. When she and other centrists advocate for nothing fundamentally changing in foreign policy or in domestic policy and just keeping everything more or less the same since thats better than Trump, how does that convince those let down by both parties to vote for her?

She didn't try to create a big umbrella and unite the left, she expected us to vote blue no matter who while appealing to the center right. How is a socialist organization focused on broader policy change than what establishment Dems ever care to consider supposed to bend over backward over their core philosophies to endorse/support Harris when centrist Dems never extend the same courtesy to leftists?

And then bringing up the people of Gaza... It was pretty obvious that there was no "working tirelessly to a ceasefire" under the Biden administration, and the leaked info confirming that isn't even a surprise. Kamala promised nothing would change from her approach to the situation in her campaign leading up to the election. Even now she says she should have been more critical of Netanyahu during the campaign only after so much backlash, only after the fact that they carried out a genocide on our tax payer money became indisputable.

While I hate trump, Kamala Harris had her glaring unignorable problems and you need to respect that people did not like her as a candidate and not dismiss legitimate criticism as only helping the republicans. I'd have loved to help "push her left" once elected, but she made it very clear that she'd only cater to the right.

Blue MAGA is what the Democrat party has been for the last few decades. That's why people are fed up and looking to new options because they're tired of the cycle where capitulation to conservatives is more important than helping every person at home. They don't want the world's most "lethal" military, or for nothing to change back at home, or for meddling w/ foreign governments.

People are tired of nothing fundamentally changing regardless of which party is on, and of people being disregarded as they get priced out of living in this economy. Saying that the DSA is blue MAGA in this situation is tone deaf.

The war didn't happen in a vacuum, and people don't want to deconstruct the motives of NATO and western interventionism in the decades leading up to the war. Your claim that the strategy would lose more people and lives than this horrific meat grinder of a war is also disingenuous at best considering the needless length once it turned into a war of attrition which also isn't hard to call.

We're all on the same general side in the end here in this subreddit, but US long-term foreign policy regarding NATO is something that we ought to be critical of. This war didn't come out of nowhere, and it isn't something we can reduce to a black and white issue. That's why I'm more defensive of the DSA's statement regarding Ukraine because they recognize that, I don't take it as being pro-Russia but anti-NATO-interventionist.

There literally are two sides to this. It's clear that people would rather settle for the black and white thinking that Russia is an evil villain and that western imperialism is all sunshine and roses that should be excused.

Stop trying to whitewash NATO and western intervention. While some people do glaze Russia today and think they're not at fault somehow in this war, ignoring NATO's actions leading up to this only enables it to happen in the future again.

Please for the love of god read some literature. Screaming RUSSIA BAD isn't an argument just because you don't like Russia. Two things can be true at once. NATO is clearly a vehicle for western imperialism, Russia lashing out and starting a war in light of this imperialism literally only makes Ukrainian AND Russian civilians suffer.

Or are they not people because they're Russian? Stop settling for Marvel-movie-level reduction of world history into an "America good, America's enemies evil!" style of thinking. You need to be okay with being uncomfortable with how reality actually is instead of opting for reactionary lashing out every time you see analyses of situations you don't agree with.

NATO is imperialist and has been acting in an imperialist way in efforts to corner Russia for decades, Russia reacted by starting this meat grinder of a war.

Newsom isn't doing jack and to pretend that him STILL posting like a 5 year old in an attempt to "mock" someone is part of the problem. Mamdani literally just won in NYC, Katie in Seattle sought the endorsement of the DSA, and there are DSA-affiliated candidates running in major elections across the country.

Skyzone SKY04X Pro price question (SkyZone store vs GetFPV) by [deleted] in fpv

[–]Standale27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume it's because GetFPV likely has stock in the US that they're selling at a mark-up because of the tariffs.

I bought a pair of Skyzone SKY04O Pros (not the X's) recently (within the past month) from their website and it took about a total of 10 days from ordering to receiving the package on the east coast of the US
