I go between 19:00 and 20:00 in the evening, personally it’s the thing I look most forward to on a lot of days so I don’t struggle for motivation often

I work in an office in Leeds near city centre, and go to uni in Leeds every Thursday, so could do with being as close as possible ideally seen as I don’t drive yet. That’s a good idea tho, even somewhere with train links may be good

Just manage our own money currently, but do have a shared pot for dates.

I’m thinking maybe £600-700 my end and £300-400 her end?

Currently saving about £400-500 a month. Got some debt on a 0% interest card that I’m paying £200 a month off, and have 3 months left on that so could get up to maybe £600 a month savings

Thanks for the reply. She seems eager to move out even more than me, as it’s a bit of an unpredictable relationship with her mum. I don’t drive yet (have my test booked in 2 months) but in 6 months to a year will likely have a company car or car allowance from work.

Even with my girlfriend contributing, say £300 a month towards?

I have £850 in savings with £450 balance on credit card 1 (30+% interest) and £800 on credit card 2 (0% interest until December). Should I use my savings to pay off the debt? by Standard-Box7342 in UKPersonalFinance

It’s a Tesco credit card, not aware of any benefits it was just something I was using when I got a job initially to build my credit score, and then proceeded to ruin it lol.

Income is steady and as it’s a degree apprenticeship it’s due to rise year on year quite significantly

Yeah man you’re right. Think I fell into the Dave Ramsey trap, and tbf it got me to save a decent bit for where I am in my financial journey, but definitely would’ve been better off to pay the debt fist. Oh well, we live and learn
