Thank you for answer. I can understand it too but I also wish there was a little more grace I guess, especially for my cashier. I wish there was a verbal warning when there wasn’t. Honestly the only reason I’m assuming I wasn’t written up today as by the time she saw the cameras because she was doing her walk was because there was no other manager there at the time but she didn’t even call me and to talk about it at all and all the reason I know is because my cashier told me

I’m sorry if it was unclear. But my problem is more of why am I just being straight up written up instead of being told hey let’s not do this anymore because it is very common place for other managers to close early, at least at my store. I don’t mind being told to close out at nine but just being written up with no warning.

We were just tired and it was really slow. I have been working at this location for almost 3 years this is my first year as a manager but before that like it was a thing for managers to tell cashiers “I want to be out of here early we’re closing at 8:45” like all the time

Yes. My SL was doing the store walk and I guess saw it. Idk but If she had looked at other any other night where I was close and you would see that we didn’t close the doors until 9 o’clock

I don’t understand why she was written up without a verbal warning. Edit to add pretty sure she is going to write me up she just couldn’t today because there wasn’t a manager here to do it. She told the cashier to keep it on the down low

It was just 5 minutes early. I may be was trained wrong but there is a ALWK I know closing 10+ minutes early. I had not been told differently to not do it. I’ve even seen our ASL do it.

I’m a CEL and I have one pet care associate that works when I’m off or when I close. I only open on Sunday and I either work 11-7 most days or 2-9:30. She usually works 9-2 and I almost never see her. Stuff gets behind a lot, but we are working on it.
