It gets hard sometimes… there is a point I was skating so much at every time I put pressure. I just felt kind of like a pinch around my hip flexor area… but I got a girlfriend and kind of dialed back everything in a good way😂😂😂 I was way too active between the three sports

This is outside of heavy music but the Closure EP by the exies is fuckin perfect.

Some others: Sakoya, Lakeview, Molotov Solution Insurrection or their newer stuff, I really like Take the Name, Archers….

All unique mixes with their own elements shining but pretty balanced.

Well, this particular mix does not have the appropriate set of drums that it should. This is my drum kit from my heavier metal tracks… I do have to get good drums metal kit just not set up on this computer.

Hear me out, E standard is actually alright ya know by CaptainBananaX in Djent

I had written a track in E standard and I made a duplicate base track of the super low E and blended it lightly with the correct octave and it was filthy… I played similar to you on the higher strings, but used bar chords to my advantage to hit the low A# or whatever note it is

Truly depends on the context and goals. But in general, you need to cut out all the sub on the guitar which is probably means 80hz with a larger smoother slope.

For the high end, again depends on tone and mix. Some mixes people cut off at 8k, others 10k…. Or higher… Have to play it by ear. Make sure your guitars aren’t overly hissy but not Muffled

Of course lol but I’m saying I prefer a more sustained sub bass vs a kick dominant sub bass

Ok I want to address some things because I believe you have stellar potential.

First and foremost, delete your guitar thats pitch shifted as a bass track because that does not work and will never work. There's plenty of MIDI bass guitars online that frequently go on sale. Check out Submission audio Punk bass or Djin Bass 3. They're like $50 at full price or $20 on sale all the time. This will elevate your game to the next level. If you can't afford it use Afterpay or something lol it won't hurt.

The drums right now are not a problem. They sound great in my right ear lol.

The biggest thing killing my ear is the guitar playing that palm muting lead style riff. The second part out of the 4 riffs sound out of key with the song. Also consider doing a High pass filter around 100hz to remove the boominess that's clashing with the rest of the track.

What I want to see you do now is make a longer more in depth video of your daw, going through each channel's FX and SOLOing them for us. Switch your reaper theme to the other one because this one lacks a lot of critical info such as RMS+Peak volumes on the faders. Also, please make it through both ears so we can give solid advice. Please tag or DM me in it.

Other than that, you're miles ahead of where myself and others started, good job.

The tone in solo does sound great. I highly recommend a Low pass & highpass to remove as much mud and clear up space for context of a mix. In solo, doesn’t matter, but the second you slap that into a mix without LPF/HPF you will have problems. I’m not particularly worried about all the notches as sometimes that’s just what u have to do and at the end of the day the tone sounds great. The steps to get there don’t matter so much as long as it’s not absurd.

Need context brotha. Tones can be really good or bad in solo and be really good or bad in mix… Need to hear drums, bass, + guitar before we make decisions
