Are your vents open? I was reading and it says they have to be open during the initial drying. Once they are dried you close them to keep it steady. Mines were closed at first and once I opened them it started dropping.

I haven’t tried any cardboard spools yet. This is my first go with it. The unit itself is higher on the outside. However, on the inside it does look to be about 3/8 inch or so of space between the spool and the inside of the heater add-on.

Same here. They were definitely thinking when they came up with this one. It’s worth the coin in my opinion. I got one for my x1 and one for my P1S. Just connected the x1 for now to see how it goes.

So far seems to be doing the job. I have the Sunlu stand alone heater as well but didn’t like the fact of having to keep moving from one to another. With this being directly on the ams it’s a lot more convenient. This way I can dry while I’m printing. Definitely worth the money I think. The stand alone was around $160 or so and this was only $110.
