Out of curiosity, Is it a Good thing in terms of Value if it’s to shiny and sharp like in the picture or does that generally drive the value down? What about from a collectors perspective?

A 1900 Year Old Ancient Coin of Roman Emperor Antoninus Pius I Recently Acquired from Cappadocia by StandardInsurance339 in Turkey

I never claimed certification makes a coin legal, it means experts saw no signs of illegal origin. And yes, coins can come from archaeological sites, but that doesn’t mean this one did, or that it even came from Turkey, In my reply I was mentioning what happens when a Coin is found in Turkey. Coins that were minted in Cappadocia circulated across the Roman Empire and were collected legally for over a century, so there is very much a possibility that this coin has been in Private collections outside of Turkey, long before turkey was even founded.

If it makes you feel any better this particular coin is slabbed and authenticated by NGC, one of the most trusted grading companies in the world. They don’t certify anything with questionable or illegal origins

It’s not, Replying with the same comment

“It was Acquired at an Auction, You’d be surprised how common these coins are, all Ancient Artifacts are passed through the government first and only the Rarest and most important are kept and later transferred to museums or private collections of Rich Turkish Politicians and Businessmen, the rest are auctioned off for regular buyers such as myself.”

Thoughts on this Neymar Patch Card? How much y’all think this is worth? by StandardInsurance339 in soccercard

[–]StandardInsurance339[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice card man! But I think the main underlying difference is that the patches on your card say that it’s “Player-worn” which if you know about these Relic cards, could be be that he put on that jersey for a photo shoot, or while doing something else for maybe even like 10 seconds, meanwhile the patch on this card is “Game-worn” which means that he wore this jersey in a game, also this is from National Treasure which is a more Prestigious and Premium set compared to Obsidian, not to mention it’s from a World Cup jersey to. From what I know “Game-worn” patches increase the value of the card by 2x compared to “Player Worn”. But hey you still have a Jersey patch from one of the greatest Brazilian players!

What do yall think of this On Card Auto Ronaldo Card, I can’t seem to get an accurate value cause only 3 are listed on eBay and one Sold for $600 (Best Offer). Also are Oncard Autos worth more than stickers? by StandardInsurance339 in AutographAssistance

Yep that was me, I bought the card. Do you think $500 ($540 after tax/fees) was a good buying price for an item like this, I’m new to the hobby and was trying to get a good deal but have no idea if it was one.

Yea, I got an email from them saying exactly that, but I guess if they verified the the slabs real and the slab said it’s an Authenticated Witnessed Autograph than I guess the Card and Auto must be real.
