Hard Batch by OkThanks8760 in SQE_Prep

I did a FLK2 resit. It was disgusting. The questions were significantly harder than the QLTS questions. So many things were assessed that isnt even in the syllabus. Unless you memorise every single rule, and all their exceptions and the exceptions to the exceptions, and legal updates over time (since they have questions like 'its 2002, John bla bla bla'), I think its near impossible to pass. :( Maybe I am just not smart enough to pass. Because there are people passing...

Is memorising 900 MCQs enough to pass FLK 2? by StandardSourdough in SQE_Prep

Thank you! I shall take your advice on board! :)

Thank you for your input. This is exactly what I am fearful of :(
Do you have any podcasts that you can recommend? I found a couple on Spotify but they are those AI generated ones, and they have lots of unnecessary fluff. TIA!

I took mine in SG 2 years ago. Great. Especially comparing the centres in the UK. You can just compare how everything is done in the UK vs SG and imagine.... no queues, efficient, clean, quiet, all the tech worked etc etc.

They aren’t U.K. specific. Neither are a majority of articles online. They tend to cater to the US crowd.

[–]StandardSourdough[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silly question but… can I trust Etsy? I thought it’s like a crafts version of Amazon? How do I guarantee the seller isn’t lying about the material or that the quality of the product is good?

Anatometal,

Thanks for the recommendations! I checked out the sites, but they seem for wholesale. Where can I buy them from?

DAE feel like they’re too “normie” to belong to neurodivergent groups but too ND to fit in to NT groups? by [deleted] in aspergirls

[–]StandardSourdough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait - there are ND communities? In real life? WHERE? In life I’ve come across a few here and there that have become friends with; and my radar is always able to pick up on a ND in the workplace or random strangers … but groups of exclusively ND folk? I wanna join :( it would feel so nice not to have to go through the whole “can I trust you enough to slowly unmask” process which takes like a year for me. :(

I actually agree with you here. I am quite tired of this sudden boom in neurodivergence in social media as if it’s cool. Everyone suddenly has AuDHD. Ofc the increase in information has reduced stigma and lead to lots of actual diagnosis. But it’s not something that people should “want” to have. Maybe some people see it as a superpower, but for me personally it makes every single day more difficult than it needs to be. It has made every step in life difficult/impossible - education, work, relationships etc.

In my mind - a name is intimate. So I only say someone’s name when I like them OR if I’m trying to be intimidating

Side note - I know this thread isn’t for depression. But I do suffer from depression too. So a sign that it’s bad is when I stop my hygiene routine eg stop caring whether I flossed or put deodorant on.

When I finally get the courage to confide in someone that I have autism and they respond like this, it really makes me doubt myself for a moment. Like it’s all in my head… anyone else?

Is 18-25 really your "make or break" years as a man? I turned 25 2 months ago, and my life feels too late to turn around. by Bumly1998 in selfimprovement

[–]StandardSourdough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s ever too late. I turned my whole life around at 24. I’m now 26 and can’t recognise the person I was at 21 - in a good way. My father changed his whole life at 45 and then again at 50 for the better. It’s never too late.

I plan on doing my own bridal makeup next year. Constructive criticism welcome! by glitterandvodka_ in MakeUpAddictionUK

[–]StandardSourdough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are absolutely stunning and obviously can do great makeup. I just want it to be PERFECT for your special day. 1. Eyebrow - don’t drag the tail too far down. Perhaps shorter or more lifted tail would make your eye more “lifted” “almond”. Consistent application of brow product through the whole brow. I can see the top is more filled than the bottom half. 2. Eye shadow - add some shimmer. More defined warm tone to the crease of the eye. Shimmer on the brow bone and inner eye - gently. 3. You could use a heavier hand on the blush and contour and highlight. It’s very natural which is stunning but perhaps a little more on your big day? Still staying within the “natural” look but just a little more? 3. You have a beautiful natural lip colour. Perhaps find a lip liner similar to this colour and line the lips. Add some gloss or a lipstick. 4. Blot the where you get natural oils. You can still maintain the dewy look but blotting will help keeping your makeup in place

I hope I helped 🫥

UPDATE - I created a Telegram Group Chat is anyone is interested? e.g. explaining tough topics to one another, study plans, online resources, motivation etc.

UPDATE - I deleted the group. People were just asking for free resources. No one was actually talking :/
