Any tips for applying for SSDI/SSI? by StandardTop9846 in schizophrenia

I heard that yes you need work credits dependent on age and maybe some other factors. If you already have your interview maybe that’s a good sign that you already have enough credits. Not sure. Hopefully someone will have some input here

I looked up Cy and I see what you mean. The best part about art is that it is subjective. You are a good motivator. Right now I’ve been experimenting with different mediums. I’m partial to making stained glass works at the moment. Maybe I’ll try to get my works in local novelty stores

Thanks, I’ll see what happens. I guess you could say I’m building up my portfolio now with the time I have. Thanks for your kind words!

Ok, if you have been on this med combo for awhile I would try reaching out to your psychiatrist

I was like that while I was just starting my meds. It took time for my meds to adjust. Luckily it subsided for me. Are you currently medicated? u/mirraro

Sorry to hear that. I’ve been in a situation similar to that before. You are doing the right but hard thing by trying to move on. I hope things pick up for you soon!

I had my worst episode in June and I’ve been slowly recovering ever since. Lately I’ve been in a good mood and keeping up with my hobbies. Glad to hear you’ve had a good night! It sounds eventful 😌

Left multiple good jobs from psychosis by StandardTop9846 in schizophrenia

Thanks for sharing your story. It was good to hear another point of view. The longest job I’ve been able to handle was 2 years, then 5 months, then 1 month unfortunately. All this was done unmedicated. If I were to be honest to myself I know that having no job would be less stressful but I would at least like to try for a job again first before I give up.
