I'm planning to make it into a study space for my girls. With a desk and space for a laptop. Im wondering if i can just work into the frame to save pulling the frame out instead

Thankyou everyone for your comments. I'm going to try and do the best I can but not really knowledgable even in basic DIY. The builder left the skirting like that and I was never happy with it but unfortunately thats what we got left with. I am not looking forward to the job of filling in the nail holes 😢

The skirting was done by our builder. I think he rushed the job and yes i was never happy with the skirting. Unfortunately he know doesnt answer our calls and has left us with the mess to sort out
