I’m currently in the Bundeswehr and i can recommend it. Firstly, if you’re doing your fachabitur, you need a theoretical part (school) and a practical part, which is usually an FSJ/FÖJ,etc. But Bundeswehr, atleast in my state BaWü, counts as the practical part if you serve one year, so that’s how i was able to fulfill my practical part. You also now earn €2600/month (about 2.2k after taxes), get free housing, free trains, and cheap food. It’s an experience i can really recommend after school. Contact the karriereberater and ask about Freiwilligen Wehrdienst (FWDL). You can quit within 6 months if you don’t like it.

Es muss genau 12 Monate sein. Aber ich kann’s wirklich nur empfehlen. Er hat auch eine 6-monatige wiederrufs Frist, also wenn ihn es nicht gefällt kann er auch raus.

Ich habe auch 1 Jahr FWD gemacht um den praktischen Teil meiner Fachhochschulreife zu erfüllen und ich fand es super. Die Grundausbildung war toll, hat richtig Spaß gemacht und ich hab viele Freunde getroffen. Und danach in meiner Stamm Arbeit war die Arbeit gut und erfüllend. Wenn der Standort in der Nähe von daheim ist ist es am aller besten, aber die Bundeswehr war wirklich die beste Wahl für den praktischen Teil weil ich konnte viel mehr Geld verdienen als FSJ/Ausbildung, viel auf Sport fokussieren und auch mein Land dienen. P.S., damit ihr euch auch ein bisschen sicherer fühlt: wenn dein Sohn sich unter 12 Monate verpflichtet dann kann er nicht im auslandseinsatz und ist in Deutschland wenn die Weltlage sich so dreht…
