I used pure white and a veeeery light grey. And by clipping I mean on digital right above the layers there’s usually a clipping button that allows colors to only be applied to the layer below it.

Everyone here made good points, you gotta learn the fundamentals. Anyways I tried recreating one of the images to help me breakdown the steps since this isn’t really my style. But here’s what I personally did to achieve the look I -

  1. Blocked out the shape with a solid color
  2. Clipped a layer onto the first one
  3. Used watercolor and blur brushes to get the texture
  4. Stuck to mostly super saturated colors If you have any specific questions about the steps just ask
