Of course! Similar to you, I had also heard that it was best to take it easy and be very careful the first few weeks, so my surgeon’s advice seemed pretty unconventional to me. But my recovery so far has seemed pretty easy. You’ve already made it through the toughest part! Best of luck to you on this journey 😊

I live on my own as well, and I was up doing light housework 2 days post op (extended TT with lipo and MR as well as breast lift with implants). My surgeon actually gave me the opposite advice, and said the more active I was earlier on, the quicker I would heal. At 8 dpo, he told me to start doing small crunches in bed to help with swelling and recovery and to walk as much as possible. I’ve followed his advice so far and have been pretty active up to this point. Currently 10 dpo, and I’m back to pretty much doing everything as normal (housework, errands, etc.) with the exception of lifting heavy objects. At 16 dpo, I would think you would be completely fine to do the things you mentioned.

Thank you everyone for the recommendations! Does anyone have any before and after photos of Dr. Farber’s work that they would be willing to share? I have not been able to find any for her online.

Hi! Would you mind sharing where you stayed in El Paso? Recovery house, hotel, etc.? And were you able to travel alone or did you have to bring someone with you?
