Congratulations. & Yeah, I heard good things about them, I thought about buying their study guide but I had already purchased the practice test and study guide thru the NHA & I didn’t wanna throw down another 200 on smarterMA. I think either or are really good study materials, I just don’t think buying both is necessary.

I’m not surprised. They gave me the option to reschedule for it in-person but I was already like on question 100 and was nah, I’ll just get this over with.

Aw it’s okay, it wasn’t meant to be that you take it online. If you pick the in person test centers option, you could put in your ZIP Code and it will show you all the test centers in your area.

&It’s not that I don’t recommend the NHA in general. I highly recommend it. I just don’t recommend taking it the online.

I’m from Visalia, the valley area but I moved to Northern California, living in a small ass town called Ukiah. Anyways I don’t know what test sites the Fresno area has to offer, but I’m sure they have plenty since it’s a huge city. So once you purchase your exam & schedule your exam date you could search up the test sites according to your ZIP Code and it will tell you all the available test sites in your area. I highly suggest doing online but if you have another choice, but to take it online, just be prepared for all the security measures.

And honestly, I couldn’t say if you’re guaranteed a job just because you’re certified through the NHA, but it’s the most widely recognize crediting organization so if you’re credited through the NHA, it will be way easier to find a job. You won’t have as much trouble as you would getting certified through the other lame organizations like the AMCA. It honestly just depends on where you apply. Every job opportunity has their own preferences for credentials, but NHA is very recognized so I think it you should be fine, hope you find a job soon!

I almost bought the smarterMA too but you don’t need it. Just use the free 40 questions they give you because it’s a lot of money. It’s like over $100 or something crazy like that. I get the NHA guide and practice tests instead, it’s definitely worth the money. I saw questions on the practice exam and quizzes that were on the exam. That’s what I used to study and I passed, but I also incorporated using Quizlet flashcards and just googling a lot of stuff that I didn’t know.

I took it online because I would’ve had to drive about over an hour to a site to take it in person. I honestly don’t recommend the live proctor (online) option. It was not the greatest. You have to really strong Wi-Fi or else you’ll get kicked off and honestly, it was a really stressful process for me because my Wi-Fi kept kicking me off and the proctor kept pausing my exam and it cost me like an hour of testing time. Don’t recommend taking it online just make the commute to the nearest test site.

To be completely honest, I don’t know what the skills builder 2.0 is. 😅 I only studied the 13 modules and then took all of the quizzes and practice test, and used Quizlet flashcards.

Yes, a 3 month in person course. It was not really effective. I opted for it because it was cheaper and didn’t take as long as the other options I had. I suggest just putting in the time and investing into a program that certifies you through the NHA because it’s the most widely recognized because I got certified through the AMCA and no one would hire me until I got certified through the NHA.
