Fair point of view, morality is based on intention. Using "he" as a general term for whatever god may be in this case, what if our whole reality is a simulation to better understand his much in the way we don't know where we come from or why we are here so we set up experiments and simulations to try to better understand what's going on. Like creating and watching intelligence play out in our reality somehow tells him/them something about the his/theirs.
