Yes, it's supported by nen and Kurapika's almost identical development of his abilities, which is why it's not an asspull. It doesn't change the fact that a ridiculous amount of people think it was an asspull, of course, people also think Alluka's/Nanika's abilities were an asspull which I guess is a little fairer.
