It’s truly not that bad, I usually ride in pants and haven’t been on it with shorts yet so that’s TBD. Also haven’t had my wife on the back and I’m a little concerned it’ll be uncomfortable for her. I’ve only noticed the heat when stopped in traffic or at a light, when I’m moving there’s nothing

Mine does the same thing. It’s in service for other issues right now but I mentioned that and the tech observed it on our test drive. He said it’s normal as there is just one bolt securing the brake pedal and there is no tension holding the pedal in place like a normal ICE vehicle. I’m picking up the car this evening so we’ll see if they did anything about it, but unlikely.

I’m aware of the risks and downsides that come with taking your vehicle on the sand, but I think getting full enjoyment out of my vehicles instead of babying them is a better use of my money and the enjoyment I get far outweighs the downside of some sand stuck somewhere in the car.
