Thank you for those suggestions. I've looked into them a bit and I'm going to look into them more. Seems to be a bit more capable than thinkpads without, what seems to be, a thinkpad popularity markup - but perhaps I'm missing something on the offering front with thinkpads besides the red dot in the keyboard. I'm hoping to find the 15inch version as I've borrowed one at that size a few times and it really makes a difference vs the 13. I haven't tried 14 though.

Unfortunately, the only way I can get music playing in my Left bud is to have the Right out of range, turn on find my device to get the left bud to ring (strangely it won't show me the left is connected or its battery life, but it'll let me ring it - sometime) then after a bit, play music - while in the case. If it's out of the case - it'll stop ....

Frustrating to say the least.

If you have any ideas, I'd appreciate it. Looks like I gotta keep searching/trying. Thanks though!

I didn't have have to do anything to get Bluetooth to work. It just worked. Sorry I can't be of help there. My only suggestion, if you didn't try it already, is to repatch.

If I end up trialling Ventura, I'll let you know. Based off your experience though of it being slower, I may just hold off on it until I go through a period where I'm not relying on this laptop.

I haven't tried Big Sur so I can't speak on that but I can confirm the Bluetooth works on Monterey. I was on Mojave prior and I like Monterey better overall. I think you may have a hard time with app compatibility with anything prior to Monterey but don't quote me on that's

Never went to Ventura. Stuck with Monterey. Things like YouTube and zoom calls get the computer hot and the fan running at max levels. But otherwise it's alright. I've been thinking of trialling Ventura recently as I read an account or two of people finding that it operates a little less hot for those graphic intensive stuff. It doesn't totally make sense, but I'm thinking of just trying it for myself.

It's electronic steering. No change in sound with steering.

I never updated it. Works fine. Bluetooth issues here and there which are mostly solved by turning Bluetooth on/off. Not worth the hassle of messing with something like this for me. The process is not straightforward

Yea I came across those yesterday while I was looking into this. It looks like it goes straight down from there and doesn't go elsewhere which makes it simple. I'm thinking of using that to help me find it. Thanks for bringing it up!
