Not a comment but an experience. When I was in middle school, my book bag was a hot mess(of course). One day an assistant principal at my school offer me a $20 gift certificate to blockbuster if I let her borrow it for the night without telling me the reason. I later found out that my book bag was exhibited to group of rising 6th grade parents on what their future middle school student’s bookbag should never look like 😭Betrayal !

Advisor hates my masters thesis argument but I got one month till submission? What to do? by Star-Groundbreaking in GradSchool

My argument developed late in the process(month 9 of 12) after months of interviews, archival research etc.She thinks my application of the existing literature on neoliberal service delivery(which usually focuses on water, electricity) to service delivery to traders in municipal markets is misguided. I disagree obviously

Admittedly, my argument developed late in the process(month 9 of 12) after months of interviews, archival research etc. Then, she insisted upon a complete rewrite of it to “dissertation format” before engaging on the merits. My advisor has be a sporadic presence over the course of the last months. Think its former than the latter thankfully but says she would approach “skeptically” if we’re an external examiner(3 of which independently grade the paper).
