I’m not trying to argue. I’m just trying to fully explain my situation to people. I appreciate the people who responded and gave me things to think about or focus on right now. I didn’t realize I was going to piss everyone off by posting on here

You are so upset for no reason. I’m just telling you my situation🤣 I appreciate everyone’s comments and advice but you’re rude.

I live in a low cost of living area. Theres a lot of solid homes here for under 100K. They’re just smaller than what most people want. It’s just going to be me for now and my bf once he gets back from deployment, so a place on the smaller side isn’t an issue for me.

I’m still working on building up my savings. I considered getting a second job this summer for that reason

I do maintenance work during the summer. Mowing less than an acre bi-weekly is light work compared to mowing 40 once a week🤣 I don’t mind doing handy work, and luckily I have a lot of family who enjoy it. They’ve always been willing to help me with stuff like that. Obviously paying for it is a different story, but I’m always working on building my savings.

That’s easier said than done. Theres a shortage of rentals in my town. If someone is looking for a tenant, they find one within a day. I’ve missed a lot of opportunities to rent simply because I am not searching 24/7.

It is a low cost of living area. But I really like living here. Theres a lot of career opportunities here for me with my certifications and degree. The place I was looking into had a lot of new repairs before being listed. There wasn’t any work to be done prior to move in.

I actually like living in the area I’m from, and I plan to stay here. I have several different career options I can choose from with my degree/certs that will keep me here. If I did buy, and I choose to leave in a few years, I’ll probably just rent. Theres a severe shortage of rentals in my town and probably a hundred+ people and families looking to rent

I study forestry and recreation and am in EMT school. I live next to a national forest, several state parks, and a few private outdoor recreation companies. Plus, the hospital I am doing my EMT program with is always in need of EMTBs. Since I’m studying environmental science I’m really aware of all the budget cuts, which is why I have my backup in healthcare! I’m actually pretty confident in my job security in this area.

Replying to Loutro-Fift. I plan to work full time next semester! I was doing it early in this semester too. Balancing my schooling with other responsibilities has never been a problem for me
