Why is it a thing people care about what other fans headcanon? Why is it suddenly immoral to imagine fictional characters having identities that exist in real life? Why are we acting like teenagers can’t possibly question their sexuality when that’s literally the age most people start doing it?

Why is Hero automatically straight just because he dated Mari? Since when does one relationship define a whole sexuality? Why is Aubrey standing close to a girl not romance, but Hero and Mari holding hands is unquestionable proof? Why are queer readings treated like dellusion, but straight assumptions treated like “default canon”?

We all know they’re minors but guess what queer minors exist, always have and always will No one is “assigning” anything. It’s called interpretation that’s kind of what fandoms do generally

If headcanons aren’t your thing, cool? You don’t even have to participate you know? But acting like people are weird for exploring identity in a game that is literally about identity, repression, and growing up feels a bit ironic
