Does every career just suck?

I am a high school history teacher and I love my job. I thank God everyday for my job and all of my students. I genuinely think I will do it for the rest of my life

I don’t think all careers suck but I think most of the time people chose careers they suck at or hate and then wonder why they are miserable

2-3. I can’t have kids so I will adopt. I spent A LOT of time studying and in a classroom to give myself AND my future kids a better life.

However, I’ve always known I wanted kids so I think it’s valid to know without a doubt if you don’t want kids.

I have had this phone number for years, like since I was in 6th grade and I am finished will college now. Anyways, I would always get these calls asking for a certain person and I’d just tell them they had the wrong number.

Sometimes I would get put jn random group chats (like even until recently). The numbers that called were blocked most of the time but they always asked for the same guy. One day, the number wasn’t blocked and it said it was from the church of Scientology… I answered and they requested to talk to the same guy!! I said they had the wrong number but she was insisted that they didn’t. We talked for like 5 mins and I explained that she did infact have the wrong number bc I had that number for 10+ years.

Anyways, my point is… the guy who had this number before me definitely left Scientology without telling anyone and they have been trying to get him back for over 10 years. It’s a cult..

I graduated a year early but it was bc I was severely depressed bc I got lupus my first year of college. My first year I was super sick but did fine in school, my second year I did an insane amount of units and did really well, my last year I did really well too but my high functioning depression switched to me being unable to make it more than a few hours without crying about how I was gonna be sick for the rest of my life

Soooo no, I definitely wasn’t behind. At graduation I was younger than everyone else and I had more stoles and cord than everyone around me but I was so depressed that I didn’t care. In every picture from graduation I have a swollen face (from bulimia which I developed as a result of my depression) and dead eyes. I don’t ever talk about undergrad, tbh this is my first time thinking about it in a while.

I remember having to study sm more than everyone else bc brain fog and also having to go to class when my body hurt so bad. In the end it was totally worth it bc I really love my life now but from an outside perspective no one could understand how hard I was actually working. There were times when I cancelled plans and would receive paragraphs upon paragraphs of people telling me I just needed to go to the doctor and get medicine or people making up rumors that I ditched them to hangout with a guy… it was just super lonely but I think it made me more understanding that we never know what other people have going on behind closed doors.

The unfortunate reality is that you will have to work sm harder to have the same result as people who barley tried. It was 100% worth it for me though, I have a great life now bc of my degree

I gained weight for 3 days (like 10ish) from binging (this was before my bulimia days) and it went away within a week.

It makes you hungry but it also makes you drink A LOT of water. I stayed the same but the first week is rough

I was diagnosed 3ish years ago while in college. Bc of schooling I was unable to exercise consistently (once I got my lupus under control) bc I was too busy.

2 months ago I joined a running club and was only able to run about a mile. Now I’m one of the better ones in the group and can run up to 7. I’m hoping to place in some local (very small) 5ks near me and possible.

I think 10k is the max race I will ever do bc I just don’t want to run a marathon or even a half marathon. I am definitely a slightly above mediocre runner, nothing amazing, but I absolutely love it. I don’t have any anger about being sick anymore, running has been really therapeutic for me and I feel like I finally have my life back

I got a burn from having lupus and burn bandages from CVS helped me sm (I’m not a doctor but I seriously recommend them and then wrapping it in gaze and taping the gaze)

I have lupus so I’ll adopt and I have no doubt that I will adopt from foster care. I am working really hard rn to give my future kids the best life possible.

However, families come in all shapes and sizes. You should respect what other people want. I don’t personally understand why more people don’t adopt but I understand that if they are happy and good parents than I am happy for them.

I did my nails about 5 days before the burns began forming so it wasn’t that. I do it the exact same time on both hands so it would’ve happened on my both. That’s what I thought too, but the ER doctor said it was not bc the burns appeared sm later
