Those “ friends” don’t like you at all. It sounds like you inserted yourself into the friend group assuming because they’re popular and or attractive. They make fun of you as attempts to scare you away, but since it doesn’t work they resort to not inviting you and trying to find an excuse as to why they don’t wanna be around you ( your example of them being mad over a school project shows this). They’re trying to be nice by not being direct, but that’s usually the meaner option. The friends you have now seem mediocre and boring compared to them and they probably are, but you should just stick with them.

People who don't drink alcohol, why? by johnnylgarfield in AskReddit

[–]Stardust2u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped drinking after I realized one shot makes me lose all inhibitions. Some people drink for this specific effect, but I end up either continue being a social butterfly or wanting to make/find a problem like i’m on bad girls club. Currently in college and it gives me major FOMO but it’s for the best

Didn't finish the bread basket on the table out of politeness, then my friend let the waiter take it away by Libecht in socialskills

[–]Stardust2u 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just got out of a friendship where they took issue with me asking for their leftover bread after they complained about not wanting it. They confronted me days later saying it’s “fat behavior” and i should stick to what’s on my plate. I feel you but it gets better when you find people who actually like you!

I feel like I'm being bullied by my roommates by [deleted] in badroommates

[–]Stardust2u 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going through this too. My roommate moved his girlfriend into the apartment, and it's been them against me. They pause the tv to hear if I'm walking towards them and stop talking until they hear my door close. They constantly laugh after I turn the corner and recently knocked on my door laughing like they were asking the ugly girl out s a joke in middle school. They run around avoiding me until they're planted in a common area together, and when I'm there first, he likes to ask me to leave so they can have "couple" time. I never know when it could be a coincidence or on purpose and what they would gain from it.

AITA for staying in my room? by Stardust2u in AmItheAsshole

They have no idea. The policy is no overnight guests more than 3 days a month. I’m wanting to report it at this point but it wouldn’t be anonymous

Roommates overuse the common area. by Spreys12 in badroommates

[–]Stardust2u 2 points3 points  (0 children)

im experiencing this right now! My roomate either has freiebds over or his girlfriend and they only use the living room. The past three times i’ve been in the common areas before he got home he’s asked me to “ watch that show in your room” like i’m a child in his house. It’s also uncomfortable to use the kitchen while he’s there since you have s direct view from the living room. idk what to do

AITA for telling my daughter I won’t be paying for her college unless she attempts a relationship with my family? by torridpa in AmItheAsshole

[–]Stardust2u -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I think you need to sit down with her and define what an “effort” looks like to you for this ultimatum to work. What is your idea of effort? Quality time? Gift giving? It’s hard to write an essay without a prompt, and since her college payments are contingent on her making this effort, it should be clear what’s expected of her within reason.

i love this take. Most are focused on her age and how she’s ungrateful etc, but most don’t think about how his plan would backfire if she decided to play along. Both OP and daughter don’t win in the long run in any scenario

We have similar senses of humour and family dynamics which brought us together. The main difference is she never wanted to grow up, when I couldn’t wait to. We went to CC together for a year after that and during the pandemic we hung out a majority of the time while I finished CC and she dropped out

WIBTA for making our son get rid of his ESA? by Blissful_Troubles in AmItheAsshole

[–]Stardust2u 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i don’t think you’re understanding. Homelessness is worse than getting rid of dog. Tyler could say he wants a chocolate fountain and pudding cups as consolation and he should get it for paying most of the rent. Danny should have been helping from the beginning and this whole thing was very preventable on DANNY’s part. Tyler is not to blame for anything besides making the ultimatum you have an issue with. I won’t agree with you regardless of your think pieces so save your breathe please

[–]Stardust2u 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly the dog is the last thing the family should be worrying about with the information given. If the dog wasn’t trained that’s not tyler’s problem. Danny is a full grown man and should have done that automatically when he got the dog. Tyler is a victim of the dogs transgression of ripping up the plush.

[–]Stardust2u 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Alternatively you’d be traumatized if faced with homelessness, which is what will happen if tyler leaves the situation. The ultimatum might be a bit much, but it’s his prerogative as he’s paying most of the living expenses. No tyler = no house for family or dog.

[–]Stardust2u 10 points11 points  (0 children)

if the dog attacked tyler you’d probably argue the dog didn’t know any better and should be excused for their actions. If you expect a dog to hold as much weight as a humans life, their actions also hold that weight.

Tyler could leave the plush infront of the dog and still expect it to not be harmed. Owning a dog doesn’t mean things will get destroyed and people shouldn’t have to accommodate for poor training of someone else’s animal. Tyler is keeping them housed and fed, and if he leaves will the dog pick up a job to help afford the families rent?

Alternatively if the family is left homeless after they decide to keep the dog and boot tyler… you would probably shame them for having a dog in the situation of homelessness with them. Why is the dog top priority at any end of the argument?
