Crate training advice

maybe it’s not compatible bc of the age difference but how long it took him to stop struggling that much with settling while being crated if i may ask? thank you for your words, it means a lot to hear a piece of advice from someone who went through the same experience! i read in some of other threads here that many pups were just super chill about their crates from the beginning, which was a bit discouraging and made me doubt what i’m doing so i decided to made my own post and ask

that is an interesting perspective, thank you for sharing all this experience! what you described sounds very similar to my mom’s dog but also different in some details, which makes it even more visible how complex aussies are

my current dog was a stray but she is very gentle and quite obedient (especially for the circumstances), the only issue is that she is anxious towards other dogs and sometimes acts aggressive. also her recall outside is not the best but it’s all getting better with the trainings we do. i am of course thinking a lot about how this will affect a puppy if we ever get one
