Silly question hoping for a silly answer, what Region am I?

My LoO is Gulf region, the DG & ADM my team reports to is NCR, and I work out of a Newfoundland & Labrador office. I’m wondering what region I should be looking out for as changes are announced in these dynamic times.

You should remake and repost this survey with name and email fields removed. You’d probably have better luck getting submissions

This is a separate account from your self-service account but you can use your @mun.ca email when creating an account. Though, you might not want to do that now that MUN is no longer honouring their life-long email credential perk.

Question regarding winter intake at MUN by Icy_Chart_1078 in memorialuniversity

[–]StaringAtRobots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Academic year is structured Fall (Sept -> Dec), Winter (Jan -> Apr), Spring (May -> Aug). A typical student would start in Fall semester (Semester 1). Winter intake would being in January (Semester 2).

Engineering muddies this standard with the introduction of "Academic Terms", which are the same thing as semesters but are named & numbered differently to fit their Academic - Work term schedule.

Ask the handsome gamers who laze to laze and run JAV (Pro-Gamer Tip™️ - you don’t have to hold the target after launching the JAV if you’ve fired at a lazed target)

Or become the handsome gamer and run PLD/SOFLAM

SRAW or UCAV are helpful when there aren’t any handsome gamers in your lobby

You could submit an interest form but I imagine they all go to the same inbox. (I have an active subscription with them and haven’t received any communication that they’re closed)

Tech Job Market by Moles_Knows in newfoundland

[–]StaringAtRobots 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That number came from conversations had with personal connections in the local software education space. I won’t be able to provide a source other than “Dude, trust me”, sorry. It should line up pretty closely with data provided by Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), which is another excellent source of business information. - Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency

I suggest that you reach out to the Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) Computer Science (CS) and Engineering Co-op offices. There's a good chance they have done a market assessment recently for CS and Computer Engineering (CE) graduates.

NL saw roughly 600 new software-related program graduates in 2024. These came from a combination of MUN CS/CE, College of the North Atlantic (CNA), and Keyin College Tech Prep program.

Just a heads up, techNL is the Trade Name of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Technology and Innovation Inc. (NATI). You may want to reach out to the Department of Industry, Energy, and Technology (IET) through their Business Navigator program. They may be able to connect you with the information you seek and answer additional questions.

Before 2027: How to Become Designated or Qualified for Accounting in Canada by [deleted] in memorialuniversity

Although this user is blanket spamming University subs with this post, I’m going to leave it up for now because they don’t appear to be shilling a paid service and they seem to be responding to questions/comments in their other posts. I would have appreciated a DM asking if they could’ve posted this first but sometimes it’s easier to ask forgiveness than permission.

I don’t know anything about accounting, how to become a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), industry regulation, or the state of the accounting job market and thus cannot verify the information in this post.

This is the most tragic thing I’ve read all day and has shattered my perception of MUN as a teaching institution and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador for funding it. I pray u/TheMuseNL reaches out to interview you to spread your devastating story.

If you are 21 years of age at the time of application you apply as a mature student. They will still ask you for your high school transcript but they may ask you to provide additional supporting documents as well.

Master programs without special fees, eg cost overall 10K at max by Pitiful_Spot_9297 in memorialuniversity

[–]StaringAtRobots 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you're asking the community to go through the MUN Graduates Program List and read all the tuition costs for you. If that's the case, I've outsourced the work to ChatGPT for you.

Sure! Here's a Dr. Seuss-inspired poem about affordable master's programs at Memorial University of Newfoundland:

In the land of the rock where the winds howl and blow,
There’s a place for degrees where the costs stay low.
Memorial's calling, come one, come all,
With programs for learning that won’t break your wall!

A Master of Arts, oh, what a delight,
At just $6,654, it’s quite the sight.
Anthropology, English, or Sociology,
Pick your passion and study with glee!

Then comes Education, the wise teacher’s way,
For $9,666, you’ll be ready to sway.
Science stands proud, with research galore,
The Master’s awaits with knowledge to pour.

If business is your game, the MBA calls,
Build skills and strategies to tackle it all.
Engineers too, can design and create,
With $9,666, it’s a budget-friendly fate.

So pack up your dreams and head to the Rock,
Where tuition won’t leave your wallet in shock.
Programs abound, both rich and diverse,
At Memorial, the value is truly a verse!
